The Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY) is proposing a national programme to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. The vision of Digital India is centred on three key areas, namely by providing digital infrastructure as a utility to every citizen, providing governance & services on demand and digital empowerment of citizens. This task seeks inputs to design a Logo for Digital India initiative. The last date of submission is 1st September 2014. The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 50,000.

This logo unit has been given a simple and contemporary look to create an easy recall value to the
mass. The letter ‘i’ has been kept in lower case to tap on the digital element and it also resembles a
human figure. The colour scheme is based on saffron and green to highlight the ‘Indian’ aspect.
