The Dr. Ambedkar Foundation (DAF) is an autonomous body under the administrative control of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment. The Foundation has been entrusted with the responsibility of managing, administering and carrying on the important and long-term schemes and programmes identified during the Centenary Celebration of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. The main objectives of the foundation inter alia include implementation of programmes and activities for furthering the ideology and message of Babasaheb Dr. B. R. Ambedkar among the masses in India as well as abroad.
The activities and programmes currently pursued by the Foundation are as given below:-
• Setting up of Dr. Ambedkar National Public Library at Janpath.
• Dr. Ambedkar National Award for Social Understanding and Upliftment of Weaker Sections.
• Dr. Ambedkar International Award for Social Change.
• Dr. Ambedkar Chairs in Universities/Institution for carrying out research on the thoughts and ideals of Babasaheb.
• Publication of the Collected Works of Babasaheb Dr. B. R. Ambedkar into Hindi and other regional languages
• Dr. Ambedkar National Merit Award Schemes for meritorious student of Secondary Examination belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes
• Organization of seminars, symposia, conferences, workshops, lectures, exhibitions and fairs on the life and mission of Dr. Ambedkar
• Celebration of Birth Anniversary and Mahaparinirwan Diwas of Dr. Ambedkar of 14th April and 6th December respectively every year.
• Publication of Samajik Nyay Sandesh, a monthly Magazine in Hindi
• Dr. Ambedkar Medical Aid Schemes
• Dr. Ambedkar Samajik Samta Kendra Yojna
• Celebration of Birth Anniversary of Great Saints
• Dr. Ambedkar National Merit Award Schemes for meritorious students of Senior Secondary Examination belonging to Scheduled Castes.
• Dr. Ambedkar National Relief to SC victims of Atrocities.
Presently, the Foundation does not have any logo of its own. Therefore, invitation is given welcoming inputs for designing a logo for DAF.
This task seeks inputs to design a Logo for Dr. Ambedkar Foundation.
The last date of submission is 18th September, 2015.
The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 25,000/-.

This logo is representing Dr. Ambhekar as the central figure of the entire foundation.
The Tri color is representing the world around Dr. It represents India whom he has made his valuable contribution to reform the Indian society.
Below there is the text “DAF”. It has been applied with green color because it represents freshness and greenery.
The proposed Dr. Ambedkar Foundation logo design is based on the theme of freedom, liberty. Genders and casts dosen’t decide the any human being’s destiny. It is based on his/ her self esteem, respect and dignity. Education makes extreme constructive change in human being. Education makes human to take a free fly. The composition of logo design representing the human figure with wings of book.

विशेषताएं :
(1) लोगो में सिर्फ दो रंगो का प्रयोग किया गया, जिससे लोगो और कार्यक्रम की गंभीरता सुनिश्चित हो सके
(2) रंग का चयन प्रिंट, इलेक्ट्रॉनिक और वेब सभी मध्यमो में प्रचार एवं प्रसार को घ्यान में रखते हुए किया गया है
(3) नीला और हल्का हरा (धानी) रंग एक विश्वास, चेतना, जागृति और समानता को प्रदर्शित करता है
(4) लोगो में दो भाग है. एक डॉ भीमराओ अम्बेडकर को प्रदर्शित करता हुआ चित्र और दूसरा डा. अम्बेडकर फाउंडेशन का शब्द जो मिलकर एक सम्पूर्ण लोगो बनाते है.
The logo is designed with the great respect and honor towards Dr. Ambedkar as this logo has the reflection of Dr. Ambedkar.
This logo also has reflection of Indian flag which symbolize our Nation.
Tri color scheme gives the feeling of unity and strength.
The initials DAF is also visible at the bottom is symbolic
This logo has the strong recall value and can be easily converted into two colours when needed, without hampering the beauty of the logo.
Dr. Ambedkar wrote our constitution and provided a systematic way to run the country in the same way this logo shows road in its front which denotes it provides way to do something, in logo roads dives into 2 parts which says that our citizens are free to live as they want and after roads a rising sun like things appears which denotes development, sign of spirit and roads also make sense that while walking on road we must follow some instruction or rule which we follow in our country to live.

this logo expresses the flame of light
