DeitY is celebrating 25th December as Good Governance Day which also happens to be the birthday of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, former Prime Minister of India. Good Governance is foundation of a functional democracy and is implemented largely through e-governance.

Good Governance through e-Governance” makes the entire government machinery more accountable, transparent, responsive and collaborative to fulfil the existing and the future needs of every citizen of the country.

DeitY is mandated to further the cause of Good Governance through e-Governance and other projects. Recent initiatives like Digital India, MyGov, Aadhaar-based Biometric Attendance System, Jeevan Praman etc will take the Good Governance to the next level.

MyGov gives you the platform to participate in Logo contest to design templates for Good Governance Day.

Last Date of Submission is 18th December 2014.

Theme: Good Governance Through e-Governance

The top 3 designs will be awarded a cash prize as under:

1. First Prize - Rs. 10,000/-
2. Second Prize - Rs. 5,000/-
3. Third Prize - Rs. 2,500/-

Terms and Conditions

1. All designs shortlisted by the Standing Committee, after eliminating unsuitable entries, would be published on the portal.

2. Only the top 5 designs for Logo Design each will be retained on the portal.

3. Entries should be original. Individuals submitting copied entries would not be considered for future contests.

4. Top three winners of Logo Design will have an opportunity to participate in Good Governance Day function of DeitY at New Delhi on 25th December, 2014. Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad Minister of Communicati0on & IT is the chief guest of the event.

5. National e-Governance Division, DeitY will bear the travel expenditure of winners (3rd AC for both sides).

6. The copyright in any submission shall remain the property of the entrant, but entry in this contest constitutes entrant’s irrevocable, perpetual permission and consent to NeGD, without further compensation or attribution, to use, reproduce, print, publish, transmit, communicate to the public, distribute, sell, perform, adapt, enhance or display the submission and the entrant’s name and city and state for editorial, advertising, commercial and publicity purposes, in any and all media now in existence or hereinafter created, throughout the world, for the duration of the copyright in the submission

The "Ashoka Chakra" in the centre of the white is the wheel of the law of dharma. Truth or satya, dharma or virtue ought to be the controlling principle of those who work under this flag.
So it is totally related to GOOD GOVERNANCE concept..
