As part of the logo design contest, the citizens are invited to suggest a suitable logo for Ahmedabad Smart City. Contestants are free to choose a theme / colour scheme for the logo.
Conditions
Minimum Size of Logo: 1” x 1” (1 inch wide by 1 inch high)
Last Day for Submission of Entries is 20th October, 2015.
Logo shall not include any material (photograph, icon, symbol etc) that is copyright protected
Winners
The best 3 entries would be declared as winners.
Prize Money (Cash / Vouchers / Gift items*):
• 1st Prize: Rs. 15,000/-
• 2nd Prize: Rs. 10,000/-
• 3rd Prize: Rs. 5,000/-
• Consolation Prizes (10 nos.): Rs. 2,000/- each
The winning logo can be adopted by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) as an official logo for Ahmedabad Smart City*.
*AMC reserves the right to select the prize winners and to use the logo as the official logo for Ahmedabad Smart City

The design incorporates the iconic & identifiable silhouette of Ahmedabad architecture and a smart building raising upward in the centre with an arrow on top symbolising growth and rapid development(pointed by color red). The logo forms an abstract letter 'A' which stands for Ahmedabad.

The concept behind this logo is as Ahmedabad is the fastest growing metro city in India,
I have incorporated this concept creating the monogram with alphabet “A”as “Ahmedabad” &“A” as the first letter in the Alphabets portraying “to be ahead” or “to be first at any place”.
I have also shown some Industrial and Economical growth with some buildings on its head and some graphics elements via colors to showcase the logo in different moods.
This logo can be used in any color, gradiant and size.

Sustainable ecology plays an important role for the stable development of a city and country at large.There is no point creating a smart city with new found technologies and forgetting the gift of nature that mother earth vested upon us.The 3rd logo, which is also my favorite amongst the 3,talks about how Gandhiji embedded his roots in Ahemedabad and believed that sustainable ecology and a pollution restrained environment is a pivotal factor in making development an unceasing phenomena.
