Department of Information Technology (DEITY), Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Govt. of India seeks entries for designing a suitable Logo and Tagline for Biometric Attendance System.
As part of the “Digital India” programme of Government of India, it has decided to implement common Biometric Attendance System (BAS) in the Central Government Offices (Agencies) located in Delhi to begin with. The proposed system would enable an employee to register attendance by presenting his/her biometric (finger print/Iris) which will be authenticated online by doing one to one match with the bio-metric stored in the UIDAI data centre against the employee’s Aadhaar number. DEITY has been assigned the nodal responsibility to ensure its effective implementation.

Department of Information Technology (DEITY), with aim to get people’s participation for suggesting a suitable logo and tagline for Bio-metric Attendance System (BAS) invites entries in MyGov.
The last date of submission is 15th October, 2014.
The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 25,000/-.

This is a colour neutral version of the same logo I have posted earlier. This version could possibly be used as a watermark/ for documentation purposes/ in other appropriate environments.
While the logo has been stripped off its colour, the striking simplicity clearly conveys the functional purpose of the Biometric Attendance System (BAS). The tagline resonates with the fact that efficient technology combined with the right mindset lends greater accountability. That is the only way forward.

The creative thought here is to make this an inclusive campaign where all employees are motivated and encouraged to just not come to office daily but make their daily work accountable and worth it.
