Department of Information Technology (DEITY), Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Govt. of India seeks entries for designing a suitable Logo and Tagline for Biometric Attendance System.
As part of the “Digital India” programme of Government of India, it has decided to implement common Biometric Attendance System (BAS) in the Central Government Offices (Agencies) located in Delhi to begin with. The proposed system would enable an employee to register attendance by presenting his/her biometric (finger print/Iris) which will be authenticated online by doing one to one match with the bio-metric stored in the UIDAI data centre against the employee’s Aadhaar number. DEITY has been assigned the nodal responsibility to ensure its effective implementation.
More details on the current status of implementation of the bio-metric attendance project can be seen at the attendance.gov.in
Department of Information Technology (DEITY), with aim to get people’s participation for suggesting a suitable logo and tagline for Bio-metric Attendance System (BAS) invites entries in MyGov.
The last date of submission is 15th October, 2014.
The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 25,000/-.

Tagline - " Punctual India. Better India"
The logo symbolizes clock and fingerprint which carries the essence of time and identity - Two major principles of Biometric Attendance system. Since it is for government departments and connected through Aadhar, the similar fingerprint is taken which is given the conventional blue color and the clock is given the yellow color of the rising sun.

fully editable image and can be scaled from 75 X 75 to 3X3 . i have photoshop file and also you can edit colors , text and shadows with ease

The Logo of Biometric Attendance System is the Minimalistic design, which interprets that employee should touch their figure for biometric scan and the clock represents the punctuality. The Tri Color of our Nation shows that, punctuality of people will contribute in our Nation’s progress.
