Ganga is polluted from its origin, so restoration programme started from Gomukh. When I visited there I saw there was no waste management system in Gangoti and Gomukh. Every year so many people visited this sacred place. So proper waste disposal system is required.studies shows that Gangotri glacier is receding. Immediate effort needed protect the ecological system and stop soil erosion.planting and maintaining trees and ban unauthorised construction is helping measures.

Transplantation of ecosystem is essential. various species of coral are suitable as water contains higher calcium and magnesium. Green projects of seaweeds and algae can be implemented. The banks can be a separate zone of medicinal plant gardens of species of Himalayan Region with particular incorporation of natural associations like root fungi dominants to hold the soil together.

Humble submission to bring a mandatory LAW enforcing the absolute ownership of the river banks by the Government itself - limiting the stretch eg. 5 mtrs/10 mtrs width so that there is no direct access to these NATURAL RESOURCE OF PURE WATER which could be kept clean, pure and avoiding any trespass to dump waste/pollution etc into the rivers. Thereafter these banks should be used ONLY for medicinal plants cultivation - creating a new avenue for our next gen young Turks - AYURVEDA an eye opener

In India doing chardham yatra is considered to be very holy. Few new things can be introduced in this. Planting a Peeple or banyan tree at every holy site should be preached. also plant saplings be made availableat such places. Another thing, every tour operators must be made party to development of this holy places. They are making huge income through this tours without fulfilling their bit.

First of all we feel that this is our river, mean time we can make boarders with stone to both side of river. If it is little bit higher than ground it may be doesn't take any waste from soil.& also the gov do not give permission to any industries near to river.& we can make horrible boating spots to adventures. & we have to make plantation
