1. Issues/needs pertaining to Belagavi City, that you want to be addressed on top priority basis
a) Please explain why do you think that these issues/needs are extremely important for all the citizens of Belagavi
b) Please explain the importance of these issues/needs in transforming Belagavi City as a Smart City.
(Max 300 words)
2. Please provide your smart solutions in detail, for the issues/needs discussed above
(Max 700 words)
The Top 3 essays will be awarded as:
1. For Students
a) 1st Prize (One) – Cash Incentive of Rs. 5000 /- (Five Thousand only).
b) 2nd Prize (One) – Cash Incentive of Rs. 3000 /- (Three Thousand only).

1. The winner shall be chosen on the basis of Innovative and Actionable idea and creativity.
2. The Name of the participant, Address and Contact No. must be mentioned clearly on the top of the Essay.
3. The decision of City Corporation, Belagavi for selecting the winner shall be treated as Final.

Power Consumption Using LED Blabs in City:
In Belagavi every bulb which may be in public or government office should replace with a LED bulbs initial cost may be more but it saves 90% of power. The citizens who want to buy a LED bulbs should give a subsides on it. Every government office should generate their own power by Solar panels and Street lights should run on Solar power only.

Trafic And accident issues:
The Belagavi city is facing a problem of Heavy traffic ,this can be reduced by making a "Ring Road" to Belagavi city .The people who want to travel out of the city they can chose this path.the accident can reduce by no entry for heavy vehicle in day time ,they may enter as per the rules which made by Corporation and also where we can sees the illegal vehicles .

In Belagavi city traffic is more and now days accidents are happening due to heavy vehicles ,so this can be solved by making a "ring road" to Belagavi city then heavy vehicles can travel out of the city by Ring Road where we can keep also check post to check the illegal supplies can verified.
allow the heavy vehicles after 10PM to 6AM it will make a batter worth to the Belagavi city.

Belagavi Smart City Plan.
To Make it a Smart City, we may have to think on following points,
1- All major roads in this city should be hassle free, like each junction or circle should have intersection or Underpass, similar to the one in Bengaluru city has in Mekhri circle.
2-Each suburbs should get one super market with all facilities like parking slot, lifts, toilets, drinking water, washrooms, etc to avoid conjunctions in the main city market area.
3- Sport complex & Wi-fi near the educational inst
My Smart Belgaum: Equal and timely water distribution at all parts, Well maintained Roads, Public transport at every part of city and at a good frequency, Industrial Park, Library in every ward, Dustbins on the road side and incur fine if found littering on roads, roadside sanitation, well maintained parks, FM stations(or at least one), Better Railway and Airway connectivity, Online bill payments, last but not the least Smart, Active & Honest Citizens to stop Corruption.#Belagavi#SmartCity#MyGov
Belagavi City which is having large part of the land under the cantonment , so government must take step to include cantonment area under the Smart city , large track of highly commercial land is available at the heart of the city for developing commercial and IT industry, bring all the government office spread over Belagavi in single building near corporation Office.
