Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India has selected Surat at 4th rank among 20 winners out of total 97 cities in the Smart City Challenge Competition for Round-1 under Smart City Mission on 28th Jan, 2016.
For the development of Surat as smart city, Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) is formed in the name of “Surat Smart City Development Limited” and the same is incorporated under the Companies Act, on 31st March, 2016. Now, as decided in First Board Meeting of the company on 13th April, 2016, Surat Smart City Development Limited (SSCDL) intends to have an exclusive & creative designed logo, which will be reflective of the futuristic characteristics of Surat city in terms of Smart City and to represent Surat city globally as per Surat Smart City Vision which says:
“Smart Utilization of Surat City’s Potential for enhancing Quality of life for the citizens by Providing Equal Access to Best Quality Physical Infrastructure, Social Infrastructure and Mobility through leveraging state of the art technology; thus making Surat a Futuristic Global city with focus on enhancing economy, protecting the ecology and preserving the identity & culture of the city.”
SSCDL hereby invites Indian Citizens to participate in this logo design competition to create an exclusive logo for “Surat Smart City Development Limited” as per terms and conditions of the competition.
The best winner shall be chosen on the basis of creativity, uniqueness, adoptability and innovation of the logo design. The decision of Chairman and CEO, Surat Smart City Development Limited for selecting the winner shall be treated as final & binding to all the participants.
The prize money for winner is INR 30,000/- (Rupees Thirty Thousands only) (One prize only).
Participant/s are requested to follow the attached Terms & Conditions of this logo competition and submit the entry accordingly. The submitted entry, in case of not as per the terms & conditions of this competition, will be straight away REJECTED.
