The gear at the top effectively represents engineering and technological advancement, aligning with the Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme's focus on research and development.
The swan at the center is a classic symbol of wisdom and purity, traditionally associated with learning and Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge. It ties in cultural significance beautifully. The open book at the bottom symbolizes knowledge along with the letter 'V', learning, and education, which is central to the PhD scheme.
