Pune smart city development corporation Ltd. invites all the citizens to participate in the international ideas competition to “Reimagine Sinhgad Road” in Pune city.

The competition aspires to seek citizen feedback and active involvement in the design of streets as public spaces thereby generating a broad consensus and community pride.

‘Make your cities Smart’ is an important step towards engagement of citizens in deciding and having a say in what their city, public spaces and streets need to be. The smart city initiative cannot succeed without the active involvement and engagement of its citizens.

The Competition is guided and underpinned by these very core principles.

This is an opportunity to send us your creative ideas from citizens’ point of view and tell us why you would like them to be implemented and more importantly share your own vision for your city. Problem: Public toilets are stinking BAD as People do not flush water.
This makes a very bad impression of city and inconvenience in travel.
Auto flush tanks as in Malls is very costly.
Solution: Special flush tank can be used as in image attached. This tank will flush off water after every 5to10 minutes depending on water availability. Thus will help make toilets clean in all India.
Toilets in busy places are always used by public so flushing every 10 min will help

Before we can go any step further to making Pune a smart city. The government has to take steps to make the citizens more disciplined. The various departments like RTO, Municipal employees need to be very strict with implementing the existing laws and taking strict action against offenders. This will ensure smooth implementations of any new systems. Till the time offenders are not scared of the serious consequences new systems cannot be a success.

For Pune to become Smart City, it should be Clean and Roads safe for Pedestrians and Vehicles.

City should be covered with CCTV, so as those breaking Traffic Rules & Littering, Spitting are fined.

Clean:
Urinals and Toilets should be kept Clean by PMC so as public can use these and not Urinate on the Roads.
There should be Litter & Garbage Bins, so as Public does not Litter everywhere. If Bins are provided, those who Litter should be fined. People Spitting on the Roads should be fined.
