Solapur has been selected in the round-1 of the Smart Cities Challenge and is envisaging to engage the citizens of the city in all the stages of developing Solapur as a Smart City. As directed under the Mission Guidelines, co-creating every step (ideas, strategies, innovative and frugal solutions) through an extensive consultative process with all stakeholders is necessary. The process of co-creation through cooperative-competition seen during the preparation of the Smart City Proposal (SCP) for Solapur has to be continued during its implementation.Taking the Smart City Idea Challenge forward the Solapur City Development Corporation Limited (SCDCL) invites suggestions, notes, comments and view of the one and all for this great heritage city. For this the SCDCL has organized a "Model Smart City Road & Park Design Competition."
The SCDCL intends to plan a contest to involve the citizens of Solapur as well as eminent design professionals from across the country to participate in this Competition. Under this Competition the SCDCL intends to design following road stretch and the public park for which design brief has been prepared and is shared here.

Killabagicha situated adjacent to the oldest and historic Shri Siddharameshwar Temple and Lake in Solapur.

All the entries will be evaluated at an elementary stage before been submitted to jury members for final discussions, observation and concept planning. The jury will evaluate shortlisted and selected top 10 entries in each category.
The SCDCL shall be giving away the prizes category wise.
These shortlisted participants will make their presentation in front of experts and public who will vote and select the finalist. The chosen selection will be named brand ambassadors of the smart city project. They will make people aware of the project and about their own concepts.
Prize Money
1st Prize:- Rs. 50,000/-
2nd Prize:- Rs. 20,000/-
3rd Prize:- Rs. 10,000/-
Consolation Prize : - 5,000/-
