My Visakhapatnam going to a smart city greater demands of the infrastructures that deliver vital services such as transportation, healthcare, education and public safety. Adding to the strain are ever-changing public demands for better education, greener programs, accessible government, affordable housing and more options for senior citizens. The Visakhapatnam city to convert smartcity to achieve the smart services to the municipal administration.the city the case that cities must use new
my city, visakhapatnam is selected as a smart city because:-
1)my city has a good infrastucture and has an ability to withstand strong cyclones like hudhud.
2)it has good sewage facilities.
3)visakhapatnam is not only smart but also green.
4)more industries were built with smarter machines.
5)ragging and other crimes were mostly controlled.
In my view Visakhapatnam is selected as a smart city due to the following points:
1.Demands of Infrastructure
2.Public demands for better education
3.Should give more options for Senior Citizens
4.Improvement of Transport Facilities
5.To control crime rate
vishakapatnam as said is the city of destiny .after the natural disaster, cyclone has hit the city it has damaged lots of plants &houses . we need to plant more trees for the greenery and its good for the environment too. we need to have better drainage facilities and good sewage system. Electric Smart Grid for safe and adequate energy supply with less powercuts .Taking safety measures in beach side reducing deaths. making vizag a free wifi city .cc cameras need to be installed .swach vizag .
Requirements for a smart city:-
1.First of all we have to implement sensors that monitor the condition of utilities such as electricity, water supply, load on surface transport and capture real-time data.
2.Communication infrastructure to connect these gateways to server cloud for transmitting data on condition of local area.
3.The crucial or essential thing is ubiquitous connectivity and community Wi-Fi, details on what smart cities should have.
proper maintanence and utilization of our resources ,sewage facility should be good ,pure water should be supplied everywhere, there should be no poverty, security must be improved so that no terrorist can enter into city ,there should be more fliovers and subways to control traffic, there should be more undergound trains
Despite of seeing boon side of Visakhapatnam, lets me tell the points that are lacking in so called 'SMARTER CITY'.
- 24 X 7 Power Supply (Solar Power Consumption).
- Implement fully fledged rather than doing it as half (Ex. BRTS).
i imagine vizag city to be a green city with proper maintainance and utilization of natural resources mainly water.Waste water management and rescue of treated water.Development of sea shore areas like rk beach in the view of tourism.Improving transport facilities for tourists. The greater demands of infrastructure that deliver vital services like education, public safety, hospitals etc.Mainly metro trains should be introduced as quickly as possible to control traffic.International connectivity.
1.City should be clean, having proper dumping facilities.
2.Intelligent environment should be developed in the city.
3.Government facilities should be delivered using mobile applications
4.Research facilities in universities should be improved.
5.Fiscal autonomy to plan and finance place-based strategies
6.Traffic control can be improved using data from navigation devices
7.Transport facilities in the city should be improved
8.There should be gender and social equality
