The Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Government of India, is celebrating its 19th Foundation Day on 27th July 2025, marking over two decades of scientific excellence, innovation, and national service in the field of Earth System Sciences. Since its establishment, MoES has played a pivotal role in advancing weather forecasting, climate modelling, ocean exploration, seismology, and polar research, significantly contributing to India’s preparedness, resilience, and sustainable development.
To mark this milestone, the Ministry of Earth Sciences, in collaboration with MyGov India, is organising the ‘Prithvi Vigyan Slogan Writing Contest,’ which aims to engage citizens in celebrating the MoES’s remarkable journey and its vision for a resilient and sustainable India. This initiative also supports the larger goal of Viksit Bharat 2047, reflecting MoES’s continued commitment to scientific innovation and public welfare.
The contest invites participants to submit impactful slogans that capture the essence of MoES’s contributions, achievements, and future aspirations in the field of Earth System Sciences.
Participants are encouraged to ensure that their entries adhere to the Government of India’s Digital Brand Identity Guidelines, maintaining clarity, simplicity, and adaptability across various formats.
Entries will be evaluated based on:
1. The slogan must be original, impactful, and concise.
2. The theme: “19 Years of MoES” / “19 Saal: Vigyan, Sankalp aur Seva”
3. The diverse domains of Earth Sciences (atmosphere, oceans, geoscience)
4. Scientific progress, innovation, and environmental responsibility
5. Language: Hindi or English
6. Length: Maximum 15 words
7. Description: Brief explanation (up to 100 words) describing the message and inspiration behind the slogan.
Gratification:
(i) The Winner for the Best Tagline will receive Attractive Prizes.
(ii) The winning slogan will be showcased across digital, print, and merchandise.
