1. I know that many of the old monuments are vandalised by public or not preserved well and end up close to being perished. In europe a small town or village still has their historical mark being preserved. So we need to identify these and preserve them with respect to "historical tourism" in rural areas 2. cultural tourism, "live in" tourism concepts like "couch surfing" should be popularised. 3.people need awareness on handling tourism, Hampi is one model of remote tourism.

There is a place of interest-CHITRAKOOT on UP,MP border.History-Lord Rama spent most of the years of exile here Geog.- plateau ,hills, river Mandakini, forests. Near cities like Alld.Varanasi Jabalpur ... on tourist map...yet undeveloped. Lot can be done here to enhance its beauty, proper train connectivity from the famous cities around, Improving sanitation & clealiness, providing water pipelines & 24hrs electricity. It has lot of potential to be developed fast.

Promoting rural tourism ,i have an idea. 1.Make a website for tourism. That is www.tourindia.com. In this website put all the available holy places, tourism places in entire india.Rural area tourism places also put in that website.Provide the route map, tour cost from all the places to that place in our country.

One reason why people do not go to rural places for tourism is that place is dirty, smelly and remote. There are no travel facilities, no staying options and the local people are far less accepting for the intrusion. Besides they usually speak in the local language making it impossible for the tourists to communicate. Furthermore, the significance of tourist spots in rural areas is not heard of often. So, people do not know where to go or what to see.

As per the declaration of honourable P.M on 15 august, one thing should added in this yojana that the village developed by each saansad should be appropriate and perfect. Then these vilages should be promoted for rural tourisim. these villages should be developed like real small towns with new facility. i mean developed GAON.
