The different hues of villages can make indelible marks on the viewers mind. The serene atmosphere, colorful surroundings, idyllic beauty, farms, cattle, fields, slow paced life etc are really welcoming for the city bred elites.Visits such as these can enhance the feeling of togetherness and these tourists can become great markets for the villages. Regular source of income can be routed from cities to villages by enjoying the sights, rickshaw rides and pickles made by village elders.

Respect sir, in my view every village have one story , every city have one story , one history . one specialty ( Handicraft , Tourist place , Historical or spiritual places ) we should focus on handicraft item sell and increase small unit for making handicraft item. and much more focus on education about that place and history of that city., which will help to increase tourism in rural area.i am going to upload some photo from near Gwalior (MP), mitawali .

I came across a news article about how Meghalaya uses Roots of Trees to construct living bridges. It was a fascinating to know about it. I believe it is a wonder & less known to the world. You can find the article here http://expandedconsciousness.com/2014/05/03/the-amazing-living-root-bridges-of-india/ Though this may not be a action plan as mentioned in the description.Promoting this could benefit the locality. Thanks

Tourism can contribute to the enhancement of regional areas through public and private sector investment in new infrastructure and facilities. In order to promote rural tourism, we should establish proper strategic plans, engage experienced tourism consultants, provide strong leadership and strategic tourism expertise to support local regional destination development and management, educate the community and local business about the rural tourism.

There are lots of villages which are as beautiful as we see in different movies.but the main problem is lack of travelling facilities.what govt.of India can do is establish tourism hub in states which can provide dedicated buses or tourist vehicles connected between districts and at a marginal fare.

Manipal, a village in Udupi district of Karnataka is now known as Student Village due to the educational institutions set up in the area. This place is surrounded by forests, water falls. We need to provide the students a safer facility and provide opportunities like trekking and other activities. Even Goa is a near by destination so can arrange bike rides which will develop the corridor as well
