Sir I am living in Jalgaon city of Maharashtra. Jalgaon power distribution is privatised having rural areas too. Jalgaon though on central railway line and has highest cultivator of banana in India and is famous for gold but is yet not developed. Nearby tourist spots are Ajantha caves, manudevi fall, padmalaya temple( ganpati temple), swinging towers of farkande, shirsholi lake, gandhi research foundation, yawal wildlife sanctuary. Jalgaon can be best visited during monsoon. Few photos attached

I think INDIA holds many things for rural tourism but the problems are half built facilities. I will never like go for a place where i have to face a sanitation problem or bugs or electricity problem. We got a good and exhausting CULTURE in deeper INDIA which can easily attract any one but the problems above are hurdles between the growth. If we solve them then i think a measure populations wealth can be easily maintained. What we have to do is just to fulfil basic needs of locals. Thank you.

Many people don't find special time for small tourist places. Lot of time is wasted in long route trains heading from north to south & east to west india. This trains can be made to stop at railway station near to rural tourist destination. Journey continuation can be made through connecting train after 2-3 hours of small tour. People who are really not in hurry will not mind this extra 2-3 hours in total 35-40 hrs journey. Railway ticket with complete small tour package to be offered.

Tourists will clearly enjoy the serene atmosphere and the colorful Rural Gods in the Village temples. The statues that have different hues and connotations are earthy and explicit of rural Indian mind. These statues have innumerable stories to tell us that have come down the ages. They are raw and ethnic and are revealing of the secrets of the Indian mind and are ageless. They have been there, are there and will be there for ages to come. The earthern lamps can be made and gifted to tourists.
