The Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, in collaboration with MyGov, is pleased to invite you to contribute to the success of the ULLAS - Nav Bharat Saaksharta Karyakram to make Jan Jan Saakshar.
The Government of India is implementing a centrally sponsored innovative scheme called ULLAS - Nav Bharat Saaksharta Karyakram or New India Literacy Programme (NILP), ULLAS stands for "Understanding of Lifelong Learning for All in Society". The scheme aligns with the recommendations of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and aims to empower those adults aged 15 years and above from all backgrounds who are not literate.
The scheme is based on learning provided by volunteer teachers as their DUTY or Kartavya bodh towards nation-building.
We are inviting individuals to submit videos related to teaching adult learners (aged 15 and above). Your contributions will help in enhancing the educational resources available for adult learners across the nation.
Videos can be submitted on the following themes:
1. Day-to-day Relevant Topics: Include practical lessons on topics relevant to daily life, such as digital literacy, financial literacy, health and hygiene, civic awareness, etc., while teaching reading/writing.
2. Teaching Strategies for Adult Learners: Share effective learning methods and techniques specialised for teaching adults.
3. Preparation of Teaching-Learning Materials (TLMs): Demonstrate how to create engaging and impactful TLMs for adult learners and how to use them.
Technical Parameters for Submission:
a. Format: Videos should be in MP4, AVI or MOV format.
b. Resolution: minimum 720p resolution.
c. Duration: Each video may be between 3 to 5 minutes long.
d. Language: Videos can be in any Indian language or English. Please include subtitles if the video is in a regional language.
Selection Criteria:
a. Relevance: The content must be directly related to the themes of teaching adult learners, preparation of TLMs, or relevant day-to-day topics.
b. Clarity: Videos should be clear and easy to understand, with a strong focus on practical implementation.
c. Innovation: We encourage innovative and creative approaches to adult education.
d. Quality: High-quality video and audio production will be preferred.
Gratification:
i. Videos selected for TV Channel: INR 5000
ii. Videos selected for Website/Portal: Rs 4000
All submissions will be vetted by experts at NCERT to ensure the highest educational standards. Selected videos will be featured on the NCERT/DoSEL/ULLAS websites and other educational portals, providing valuable resources to educators and learners nationwide. The videos will also be telecast on the DTH Channel for Adult Literacy/Videos to be selected for websites and portals.
