1. Dynamic traffic light to give more green light time for higher traffic side & real time traffic monitoring to adjust green light times on all signals 2. Build network of road with direct route on which all vehicles can move and indirect "bus free" routes for only 2/4 wheelers (fast port) and less traffic on bus routes (mass port) 3. safer: wider transparent bus body with bus driver info on LED display. Comfort: Some "stand all" AC buses like airport transit buses for mass fast transport

1. Serious effort to enforce traffic sense amongst citizens. Bring in point base punishment system. 2. Provide last mile connectivity. Use e-ricks to connect the home to bus-stop and bus-stop to office. Public transport mostly drops you like 1 to 2 km from your actual destination. If you are going shopping it is fun but for office it is tiring. 3. Use smaller buses to provide connectivity in narrow lanes. Introduce e-ricks to provide the last mile connectivity. Integrate payment option for all

Each and every vehicle passing through RTO should be installed with a registration chip which is assigned to that car and the owner after buying. Each traffic junction should be installed with devices to recognise this chips. Every car that breaks a traffic rule will directly be identified and the owner will get a text message and he will have to pay the fine in the nearest police station.

To promote people for using bus one smart alternative will be providing some start-up amount at discounted rate at websites, social networks directly in travel cards. This will attract people towards buses. Once people get idea that buses can be safe, fast and reliable alternative to their commute, they will tend to use it next time. As more people will travel through bus, this may give a serious uplift to passenger numbers. Also, ideas like "Bus Day" should be promoted. Like TUEDAY-BUS ONLY DAY!

I believe that the best method to curtail traffic and provide a better method is 2 fold 1. Smart Roads : This includes providing quality roads with state of the art technology that would reduce wear and tear for a good 3-4 years 2. Smarter technology : Technology need not be used to penalize, but it needs to be used to instill discipline and faith in it. Better systems and processes are the key to this

Car and buses have their individual pros and cons. We cannot replace one with other. Needless to say, their are certain scenarios, where one prefer bus over car.Daily office going people often pull car while 70% people come by bus.Smart city should have dedicated BRT network for prime connectivity points. Also availability of bus over phone apps and punctuality in service are key points.Promoting bus service cards at online shopping portals would serve purpose. Buses must be safe, time bound.

I would suggest- 1.Utilization of all possible traffic space 2.Riding your path well 3.Smart combination of one ways and flyovers In many cities of India, road are covered with hawkers, lifted drainage covers and construction material. It must be ensured to avoid it. If every driver drive their own way with care, no one needs to bother about issues like rash driving, lane cutting,. NYC don't have any fly-over.Yet they are running their traffic excellently. We should adopt their methodology.

1.Use of Google maps to monitor real-time basis spots within the city where traffic increases on the map.Ensure that traffic signals are managed dynamically by traffic police on such spots to ensure reduction in traffic. 2. speed and convenience of public transport should be increased by demarking lanes where only buses can travel and increasing air conditioned buses. 3. Introduce GPS based apps whereby travelers & their family members can track the buses.same concept used by taxis like Uber

1.Potholes, bumpy roads, no uniformity in level of the road, water clogging during rain all lead to traffic jams. For a city to be smart and traffic free, pathetic city roads should be fixed and modernized with proper markings and zebra crossing etc 2.Rules like allowing even and odd numbered vehicles only on alternate months. Exceptions to the ban will be emergency services vehicles, taxi service, cars carrying at least four people. 3.All the buses should be GPS and CCTV enabled
