A smart city would need a smart public transport. Bus stops can have ticket counters. Alternative routes should be digitally displayed on 'smart' bus stops. Mobile apps need to be developed to display time table and live tracking of buses on their routes. Roads need to have displays showing live traffic updates. In this way, most of the traffic can be avoided if vehicles take alternative routes. Rivers need to be made use of. Finally, people need to educate themselves to follow traffic rules.

Please help Tamilnadu government to extend the "MRTS" train facility from Taramani to Navallur which would cover the "OMR" road whereas the most IT Companies are located. This would avoid private transport to the maximum extend & motivate all employees to utilize the public transport which will avoid huge traffie & polution

Through Mobile Network Big Data (MNBD), population density of any place can be estimated. So, commercial and residential places and their density can be identified during office/evening time and also the movement of the vehicle/people also. This can help the government to provide basic services as per the area requirement and adjusting the timetable of public transport facility.installed Mobile app can grab the direction/status of user/traveler in same route and give them the updates.
