VARCoE, a Centre of Excellence in AR & VR (Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality is setup by STPI at IIT Bhubaneswar in collaboration with Govt. of Odisha and Meity.
This is an initiative, to identify and evaluate promising start-ups in the field of AR and VR that will be hosted in the VARCoE Incubation Facility. Apart from the physical infrastructure at IIT Bhubaneswar like dedicated equipment, specialized software and labs, co-working space, dedicated incubation space, VARCoE incubatees will have access to mentorship by senior researchers and professors in the field, facilitation for angel and VC funding.

The VARCoE Hackathon on AR&VR is an opportunity for budding startups to work on any problem statement relevant to the Government, Industry, Mining, Energy, Process Control and Industrial Automation, Academia, Healthcare, Tourism & Hospitality, Skill Development, Art & Architecture, Transport etc. and create solutions making AR&VR technologies as one of the core enablers. The participants could also come up with their own original and innovative ideas which would address the problems faced by common man and would thereby contribute to the general wellbeing of the society.

Participants with the background similar to that of a developer, 3D artist, designer, visionary, engineer or creator with the urge to push forward and develop relevant ideas in the area will be encouraged to participate as a team.

Through a Two-tier selection process, 10 emerging start-ups will be recognized and offered incubation facility at VARCoE.

Top three winners will also be awarded cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh, Rs. 50k and Rs. 25K respectively.

Last Date for final submission is 20th December 2019.
