“Setu Bharatam” is an ambitious program to ensure Railway Crossing less National Highways by 2019. In order to ensure safe and smooth flow of traffic, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways has envisaged a plan for replacement of all the Level Crossings on National Highways by ROBs/ RUBs and replacement/ widening/ strengthening of weak and narrow bridges under” Setu Bharatam”.

Under this program, a total number of 208 Level Crossings have been identified for replacement by constructing ROBs in time bound manner. In addition, approximately 1500 bridges shall also be improved by replacement/widening/ strengthening in a phased manner.

Ministry of Road Transport & Highways invites entries from the public for suggesting Logo for “Setu Bharatam”

Last date for submission of entries: 31st May, 2016.

Selected entry will be awarded cash prize of Rs. 25000/- (Rs. Twenty Five Thousand only)

The logo provides an intuitive understanding of the Setu Bharatam programme. The logo tries to incorporate the "S" of the Setu Bharatam programme in a creative manner using the colours of the national flag. This is more so since roadways and railways like the national flag have kept this country together. At the same time the objectives of the project is shown as ROB/RUB (by way of the aesthetically shaped "S") that will save many lives.

This logo dressed in the national colours captures the objectives of the Setu Bharatam programme effectively.

This logo incorporates the two C's to create an arch effect. At the same time the objectives of the project is shown as ROB/RUB that will save many lives. Dressed in the national colours the logo captures the mood of the nation today.

This logo represents SETU BHARATAM in a true manner. Choosing Indian flag colors makes it easily recognizable as an government organization. I chose dark blue and white contrast for SETU BHARATAM text to make it readable in any size and distance. The arrow shape used in logo symbolizes progress. Simplicity of this logo makes it recognizable, timeless, and versatile.

THE CONCEPT IS “SENSITIVITY OF LINES”. HERE IS THE COMBINATION OF HINDI & ENGLISH LETTERS WHICH DEPICTS B, S ,स & भ , HERE THESE LETTERS SHOW RAILWAY TRACK AND ROAD WITHOUT DISTURBING THE ENTIRE SCENARIO .THE ASHOKE CHAKRA DEPICT THE NEW VISION OF NEW ERA WITH ENTHUSIAM AND BRIGHT FUTURE AHEAD. HERE IS THE LOGO WITH CONCEPT FLOW-LESS TRACK. HERE I AM USING S AND B LETTERS OF SETU BHARATAM WHERE 'S' SYMBOLIZE THE RAILWAY TRACK AND 'B' SYMBOLIZE THE ROAD NETWORK WITH SIMPLE USE OF LINES. S & B ARE OVERLAPPING AND THEY FORM A BRIDGE OVER AND UNDER EACH OTHER... SOMEWHERE ROAD TRACK IS OVER BRIDGE AND SOME WHERE IT IS UNDERPASS AND VICE-VERSA .
