“Housing for all by 2022” Mission will be launched by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation shortly. The Mission aims to provide a pucca house to every citizen of the country by the year 2022 which will also be the 75th year of the Republic of India. A proper house to live in is the dream of every citizen of the country. This dream, however, remains unfulfilled for many who cannot afford to have their own house. Therefore, the Mission while being ambitious in its objective also reflects the intent of the Government to fulfill the aspirations of the people.
Ministry of Housing & Poverty Alleviation invites entries from the general public for suggesting a name for the proposed Mission on “Housing for All by 2022” to be launched by the Ministry.
The last date of submission is 15th March, 2015 (5:30 p.m. IST).
The following are the conditions for the entries:
1. The name should reflect the intent behind the Mission, which is, providing a pucca house to every citizen of the country by the year 2022.
2. As 2022 would be the 75th anniversary of our Republic, the name should also capture the national mood of that event.
3. The acronym of the proposed name should also lend to a meaning of its own while relating to the Mission itself.
4. Entries should be in Hindi or in English.
