Providing a digital identity to all individuals is crucial to facilitate electronic authentication for delivery of online public services. The digital identity must be unique, lifelong, online and authenticable. The digital identity should be easily verifiable in an online and cost-effective way. Aadhaar provides such a digital identity that also serves as a proof of identity and address for individuals. If such a digital identity could be linked to mobile phones in a secure manner, it would make the task of online authentication much easier at the level of the individual. As the penetration of mobile phones is high, this digital identity will facilitate the delivery of online services more easily.

\

Ideas and suggestions are welcome on how mobile phones and digital identity could be linked so that mobile phones can be used as instruments for online electronic authentication of individuals’ identities. The suggestions may include technical architecture and solutions, policy guidelines, process improvements, implementation mechanisms, cost effectiveness, operational efficiency, etc. You can upload your ideas in doc or pdf format.

This will hv to ensured that data are protected n can only be modified by higher authority. This data can be used by banks, police administration etc and will help in reducing crime since no one will be able to hide his identity. Duplicate PAN card, Passport, Frauds will be revealed.

To improve the implementation of the safe and improved technology government should develop an application for mobile. This application should be installed in the mobile phone. eg- if we buy a new mobile from the market and it starts operating. then the application should ask the user for essential documents which will prof that the mobile phone is in correct user. if the user fails to deliver all the things then the user cannot operate the mobile phone. It is a technical thinking.

The technology is the next phase of development. The government should take many steps to build the technology to higher and safer level. In my opinion government should keep a check on SIM network operators as how they issue the SIM card for the people. Should it be more strict rules if u go to buy a network operator.

Further-(in continuity of my suggestion)-- all the Mobile nos. of the family shall be linked(one. no. shall be allotted as family heads No. for every family.) With request from any of the family mobile any no. can be blocked---for safety measure-in case of theft.Family head. mobile no. shall be linked to Bank Account & It will automatically verified by Bank (further bank-mobile SIM provider can cross verify by activation code for Family head no.)--Also IncomeTax(or any other Govt.agency deputed.

Inpresent -circumstance for economically feasible digital identity-is Mobile Phones-- no separate agency is required--The Mobile Phone Companies-shall verify the ID of its SIM users every year, For every Recharge -Mobile User has to feed PIN..like in ATM-Card. Onevery-mobilechange+restart of Mobile-same PIn is required-to avoid MISUSE in case of theft of M.handset. So using Mobile every movement of induvidual will be under scanner-traceable- This will helpful to control crime also. Further--

Digital identity should be used but with biometric security enabled devices only & even that to a small extent, as for ID in trains.
