Mr. Prime Minister, one of the biggest conservation of energy is for ugriculture pump sets. This is very high compared to house hold conservation. I have seen, huge waste of energy by formers e.g 1) Non stop usage of pumps (never switch off even though water frow back from field to river), 2) Use of low efficieny motors/wires, 3) waste fo water etc. This leads to waste of coal, pollution at coal mine & power plant.. Very strong compain by you (like swatch bharat) is very essential.

We need to start from our homes and Children are the best drivers of this mission. Schools need to educate children to save and NOT WASTE Electricity / water. One child must be made to speak once a week for 2 minutes in the morning assembly as to how he / she achieved it in their own humble ways. Children must be asked to check all at home / their circle to switch off lights / fans / AC / computer when not in use, conserve water and their own contribution in making India clean.

1) switch off the lights and fan when I leave the premises 2) stick a note with tacky and cool one liner near the switch board which says "Do what's right. Turn off the light." or " Turn off the lights, wasting electricity bites!"or ENERGY MISUSED CANNOT BE EXCUSED or Save Today. Survive Tomorrow. Such lines have a definite effect. coz good dialogues are remembered forever, like can anyone ever forget "kitne aadmi the"

I can use energy efficient lighting like CFLs in my home ans ask my neighbours to follow the same. Also I would urge educational institutions and corporations to adopt energy efficient lighting.

1. Switch off the lights and fans of the rooms that are vacant 2. Use of natural light and air instead of tube lights and fan 3. Make sure that all the lights and fans are switched off while you are leaving home 4. Each building should have notice borads asking the residents to switch off lights and fans while leaving home 5. Solar panels can be fitted on the roof tops of high rises for hot water, so that the geysers are not required to heat the water
