The India Innovation Challenge Design Contest (IICDC) has started the incubation process for the winners of the 2017 edition. A team comprising of leading entrepreneurs and academicians will now be mentoring the ten teams.

The Ministry of External Affairs organized an open competition to design a logo that would best reflect the spirit of the First PIO Parliamentarian Conference which is being organized by the Government of India on 9thJanuary, 2018 in New Delhi.

The contest for naming of RICT Project was hosted in MyGov on 29th of September 2017 for a duration of 17 days. Total 1011 entries were received. A committee was set up to evaluate and shortlist the name of the project.

The External Publicity & Public Diplomacy (XPD) Division of Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) invited entries for naming its new public outreach initiative to connect with the students- the future of India. Since the nuances of foreign policy issues are often appreciated by a niche audience in big cities; people in general, especially the students in smaller towns and villages across India, do not have a complete understanding of the working of MEA and Indian Foreign Policy.

From the lens of a young woman aspiring to be to be the next change-maker, the Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2017 was all I dreamt of and more. This three day event was held in Hyderabad, India’s fastest growing start-up city, and brought together over 1500 attendees, including leading global entrepreneurs, investors, educators and government officials.

With an aim to identify talent pools in the area of cyber security across the globe and to find solutions to critical problems, the Global Cyber Challenge was organised as part of the Global Conference on Cyber Space. It was conducted with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), National Critical Information Infrastructure Protection Center (NCIIPC), MyGov, Cyber Peace Foundation (CPF) and Policy Perspectives Foundation (PPF) as collaborators.

IICDC 2017 has witnessed phenomenal results with regards to innovation and participation of engineering colleges. In addition to being the biggest edition yet, this year’s contest is supported by the Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP) with the Department of Science and Technology, the Indian Institute of Management-Bangalore and MyGov portal.
