The Office of the Registrar General & Census Commissioner of India invites people across the country to participate in Census 2027 Campaign.
The Census of India is one of the world's largest administrative and statistical exercises and serves as the foundation for evidence-based planning, governance and inclusive development. Census 2027 marks a historic milestone as India’s first digital Census, leveraging modern technology to make the process faster, smarter and accurate. The adoption of census data collection through mobile applications along with the introduction of Self-Enumeration facility represents a transformative step in the way the Census is conducted.
In collaboration with MyGov, the Census 2027 Campaign offers a unique platform to engage people through a series of creative competitions and interactive activities celebrating this landmark national exercise. Through quizzes, digital storytelling, reel competitions, creative contests and other awareness initiatives, the campaign seeks to engage students, youth, educational institutions, creative communities and the general public in learning about the significance of the Census and its role in nation-building. The campaign aims to enhance public awareness about the importance of the Census, encourage wider participation and foster a better understanding of how Census data supports in policymaking, welfare planning and effective governance.
