Continuation of comments here of 01st instant. In JALANDHAR, even at the Manned Railway Level Crossing, majority of people are tempted to cross the Crossing while the 'Phatak' is closed, indicative of a coming train. This way such people, remaining quite obvilious of the danger to their own life as well as to the life of their accompanying
near and dear ones, commt an act unworthy of a responsible citizen. SUCH AN ACT CAN'T BE HELD NECESSARY WHATSOEVER REASONS MAY BE ADVANCED BY SO DOERS.
Dear All,
As a matter of innovation and better services in Indian Railway,we have to focus on some important points.First of all
a) Regular cleaning at Station where hault timing approx 10
minutes.
b) Display board inside the coach which display the destination with announcement.
c)Entry of unwanted person just nameshake for cleaning should be banned, and also these person should engaged with ckeaning if railway station on contractual basis.
d) Additional coaches in the NDLS-HWH Route to reduce
Flyovers are very essential at every Level Crossing.
Mechanization of various task like laying new rails and gitti or checking tracks should be done and technology should be imported from UK or other if its not here.It will lower project cost.We should evaluate British period hierarchy at lower level. They should be trained for higher technology.
For long route trains a straight/short path should be adopted instead of covering adjacent main cities.Long distance trains are not meant to make local/political leader happy.Passengers contribute not neta
Platform should be closed all time.Passengers, who have ticket of that train only, should be allowed to arrive on platform 15 min before the train arrives.Luggage and posts should be booked on station next to main station and train should take their all supplies like water etc from there. This would decrease the non passenger mob on the main station which have pressure of passengers. We should have long distance train with minimum stoppage. An unchangeable policy should be made on it.
First we should know what should be the purpose of Railways. I think it should be connect India and facilitate long journeys in low prices. Then what is need of passenger trains running empty most of the times. We must cut/replace unnecessary slow passenger trains for small distances with fast trains for keeping tracks empty.
We should allow only those passengers on platform who have valid tickets and whose train is to arrive. Platform is not meant for waiting for long. It creates uncleanliness
There needs to be more governance and security in the unmanned level crossing this should be treated as priority and there should be no unmanned level crossing in the next few years. I am sure the current government is capable of achieving this in a very short time.
1. invite more private investment in level crossings. 2. railways must co-operate with local bodies for employing security at unmanned level crossing. 3. remote controlled signalling mechanism at the unmanned level crossings. 4. creating awareness among the public on safe crossing
