India is just behind US and China in the list of top 10 countries with highest rate of obesity. Its time both China and India joined hands to address this issue. In the forthcoming visit of Mr. Modi to China, government to Government level push into China, India's Ayush and China's Qigong (for physical and spiritual well being) and acupuncture, traditional herbal medicines, can be kick started. That will save billions of dollars to both on healthcare spending.

This is a much needed in initiative. It will also aid in the much needed standard of care definitions, evaluations and compliance. Kudos for a good start. Will aid in coming up with most cost effective procedures that should be funded etc. Once the database is in place and populated it is in valuable. A very good initiative.

Specifically, healthcare analytics such as physician practice pattern variation analysis (PPVA) can identify & prevent doctors from recommending costly or unnecessary treatments to patients.

Very good idea. There is an urgent need for enforcing medical ethics in the country. Please explore the field of healthcare analytics to prevent doctors from over prescribing & recommending costly treatments to poor, innnocent patients. Please also heavily tax alcohol, tobacco, fatty & sugar-rich foods which are causing tremendous loss of GDP due to diseases like cancer, diabetes, obesity, and blood pressure. This can serve as a standard database of common ailments, symptoms, treatments etc.

This Looks interesting but with a limited scope. Why Not? 1-EHR comes at a very later stage in hierarchy of providing healthcare services. 2-EHR is good to have but not a must to have. 3-We have used the term tele-medicine at times in concept note, but our mission/vision is not talking about it. 4-If the hidden objective is to make a global best patient data repository, Security concern, as anyone would pay huge for this data, a simple new drug clinical trial costs atleast $ 1-2 Billion

has to be free for all,as small establishments cannot afford it. has to be open source ,web based, as windows is costly to maintain in the long run. must have the capability to store images & videos. All medical equipment vendors must be asked to integrate their softwares to the system without any additional charges to the institutions.

An important part that should becovered by NeHA is pharmacies. Right now, there is misuse of drugs particularly antibiotics. By creating a plan where pharmacists can only give out drugs which have proper NeHA report, drug abuse can brought down. In addition, there should be an analytics department that can study misuse of treatments by doctors/hospitals. Or this can be outsourced to private companies which can file claims with data. The dues can be shared between Neha and the company
