The lack of efficient urban mobility causes the increase of private vehicles in the city. This increase in the private vehicles generates air pollutant and exhaust of natural fossil fuel. On the other hand the increased private vehicles require parking area and wider road causing additional local on land environment. Air pollution is also an impact of increased vehicle on the road.

Dependency of the power supply in Indian context is mainly coal based, hydroelectric power and some portion is burning of diesel. In the shortage of power supply from thermal or hydroelectrically the diesel based generators fulfil the demand in the urban area. These generators are used with planning. The backup power is more frequent. Even if it is compliance to the Indian laws, its emission is higher than the other sources like thermal.

As today Indian cities has 63% revenue and is expected to be 75% in 2030. The waste generation will also be in the similar ratio. More than 90% of the cities do not have sanitary landfills. The infrastructure and awareness among the community for recycling, recovery and reuse is also lacking in the country. So in the absence of above and storage and transportation facility, it will create load on the resources and unhygienic conditions resulting health issues.

The water requirements are fulfilled by extraction or withdrawal of ground water or river/ stream water. At present most of the cities are supplied within the supply limit of 135 litres per capita per day. While most of the cities are in the process of developing water supply system. As a natural process the abstraction of ground water creates void within the acquirer. So, system of recycling and reuse of water should be developed.
