How can we bring an end to the menace of manual scavenging?
I think Swach Bharat Abhiyan was really a good initiative but nothing much has been done yet. I am from Mumbai and the government in power is BJP, Municipality is under their control, government in Maharashtra is BJP, still there is no improvement in the situation.
I liked the suggestion given by Sridhar Dhanabalan.
Apart from that there are other ways as well to implement cleanliness.
1. It can be started with making every co op hsg society responsible for the cleanliness in their area.
A Mobile app (windows, android, iphone app) can be developed to share photo with pincode where every citizen can take photo and embed pincode,or city/place/landmark where dust, pollution,or drainage water leakage is happening and send to the respective corporation based on which action can be taken for clean india program.
Respect and give equal love to every fellow citizen first. All modern educated people must practice dignity and loyal to the society. Rest of the people follows the educated persons. In cities and Towns Govt officials must take action against wrong doing people. Suppose fine for not clean people. In villages by default there is cleanliness by nature. Only Usage of Toilet must be propaganda by educated and semi educated people starting with their own families.
It can only be stopped by Teaching some Civic Sense to people and by Imposing Heavy Fines or Imprisonment/ strict Laws. Similar are the rules in Singapore and many developed countries.
SWATCH BHARAT can be a success only if its citizens beleive in it. 90% Dont. mY SIMPLE SUGGESTIONS IS
1. Make it compulsory that all schools including the rich schools to clean their area monitored by a Military Personnel.
2. Post heavy Fines on Vendors and People. In democracy it is difficult but not impossible.
Set a clear guidelines and techniques for garbage collection and dumping. It has been seen garbage collected from the cities thrown outside further create bad impression. All should be in modernized way.
It is long way to go to make India "swachh" until burgeoning population is taken care of. Since various leaders keep provoking people of their communities to produce more and more children; it is very important to tackle/educate them first.
Halo Sir, the clean India policy is really appreciated, meanwhile the law must be implemented like Singapore. In Singapore once anybody has committed the mistake even small or big, the Government has to be charged S$150 to 300 even to Senior Citizen also, if the same person has to be done the same thing again and again the punishment will be severe. So what I am suggest is, if one who is to be committed misbehave of handing the wastages, the fine amount will be charged more like Singapore.
hello sir
i am a teacher if we want to clean our india the first step just banned the polythene .i have example of HIMACHAL PARDESH THE TOTALLY BANNED THE POLYTHENE STRICTLY.
swacha bharat mission ko safal banene ke liye bachoo ka sahyog bahut jaruri hai.kyunki har ghar se ek bachaa jarur school jata hai, yadi bachoo ko is abhiyaan se jor liya jayee to bachee jarur apne parients ko protsahit karenge.bachee hamare desh ka bhavishya hai.agar ek baar unko is abhiyaan ke bare main jagruk kar diya jayeega ,to vo din door nahi jab hamara india bhi safayee ke mamle main no 1 ban jayega.is liye school's main is abhiyaan ko barava dena chahiye, chahey school gov ho ya private.t
