Employability of our students is a matter of concern. At the other end of the spectrum is need for greater investment in research. Industry academia linkages are essential to meet both these ends. While we have various efforts in this direction, these have not fructified as expected. We need to find out how and what is needed for a more fruitful partnering.

Then comes the delivery part of the curriculum. It will be very good if classroom-teaching can include some industry examples. It will be even better if it can be explained why that particular topic is being taught and in what way that knowledge would be helpful to the student for his future job. To offer this kind of teaching, the faculty member should have some industry exposure in that field, and also should have done some research in that domain. (..cont)

Then all such industry-demanding courses should be included into the big list of electives. These days, industry experts are coming forward to offer inputs on the curriculum, to the level of exact topics also that can be covered in a given elective. It is upto the institution to contact the right people and get the required inputs. The institution should also exercise care to involve experts from diversified industries, in order to satisfy the broader scope/opportunities to the students (.contd)

Industry experts can be invited to Board of Studies (BoS) of the institutions, and be involved in curriculum design. But it may also happen that, depending on the narrow field of working they came from, some experts may try to suggest more of such specialized courses in the curriculum. This is where the institution should exercise its wisdom in balancing the content. It should take care that all the essential basic courses that are required for the programme are included, first. This kind of engagement is very much essential for the benefit of industry, institute and students. But unfortunately, it is not upto the expected level in our country. Reasons for this are many, but the situation can definitely be improved. It requires a multi-pronged approach that addresses the concerns of all the stakeholders. The first thing that needs to be looked at is the curriculum that is offered in the institutions. (..contd)

I dont think industry will be able to students as per the current GER. We should develop software applications like virtual industry and then train students on that.

Industry bodies like FICCI, ASSOCHAM, should come together to develop industry specific and INDIA specific courses which can be learnt irrespective of the language and money power and become employable. Instead of each company like IBM/TCS/TATA/MARUTI running their own training centers, can there be industry and location specific vocational training centers with JOB guarantee,eg in Ludhiana, Chennai etc there can be autoindustry related training centers, in Bangalore and Pune- foundary, software

Micro industry linkage to the educational institution will be of great importance for both learner and industrialist.Owner will save economy and learner will experience learning. This will enhance communication skill for both learner and teachers. But there should be proper selection. This should also provide the scope of communication. This system will support schools from economic point of view also.Employer may target employee on the basis of perfection of the work.Stress level will be reduced

Primary Education should be based on human and social value. The first requirement is to develop communication skillbased on the task to speak and then through written communication. Overall talent is not marks in exams but completion of the task. Hindrance experienced by learner will make them correct. Next is embedding no. concept with minor operation. Now child is ready to be assessed for the area of next level of learning.Societal effect is the great hindrance in selection of career.

1. Break away education system from the clutches of Marks/Percentages 2. It should assess what one is capable of rather than Degree he earned 3. Evaluation need to be more objective 4. Reduce the burden of stereotypes like Number of Subjects, number of semester, number of years for a skill acquisition 5. Admission need to be based on aptitude for the given vocation/profession 6. Do away with multiple regulations/regulators, Accreditation from central professional body suffice purpose
