Give innovative ideas for value addition to the Minor Forest Produces and their Marketing

Start Date :

A large number of tribal people and other forest dwellers derive their source of livelihood from the collection and marketing of Minor Forest Produce (MFP) which provides them ...
While searching for the facts responsible for the above scenario, we, the undersigned have found vast discrepancies in the import and export prices of Gum Karaya being notified to the Government. The concerned businessmen have been importing Gum Karaya of grade 1 at prices, far above the price of lower grade that they have been notifying to custom department and other govt authorities.
For the last 3 years, the rates of Gum Karaya of Indian Origin have become irrelevant due to flooding of imported Gum karaya in the Indian Market, due to which tribals , Cooperatives and traders who are engaged in the activity of procurement of Gum Karaya have been suffering heavily due to these lower rates.
Gum Karaya, a Minor Forest Produce (MFP), is a vegetable gum produced as an exudate by trees of the genus Sterculia. It is used as a thickener and emulsifier in foods, as a laxative, and as a denture adhesive. Gum Karaya of highest quality of grade 1 is mostly consumed in India itself while of lower qualities of grade 3 is exported outside India.
Dear Sir
I suggest;
1. First let the tribals should know the value of their product (Generasting wealth from waste)
2. There products can be sold by e marketing and a NGO can be identified by the government.
Dr. D. lakshmanan
Better is to develop a seperate cell under the rural development program. There are number of government servants are not properly utilised and they are to be transferred for this activity. Moreover , Khadi bhandar can be explored. Even there are numerous educated people wanted to participate but there is a lack of co ordination.Thanks.

On 26-4-15 in his speech Maan Ki baat Respected PM Mr Narendra Damodardas Modi emphasized on MAYLA MATHE PE DHONA (carrying dirt on head). The phrase was headline in each and every NEWS of the day. Is He really concern about this and made provisions of reservation in LOK SABHA, RAJYA SABHA, STATE VIDHAN SABHA, MILITARY etc etc etc ...... Such reservations are in place in other aspects of life.
Respected PM Mr NARENDRA DAMODARDAS MODI SIR do you have explanation or just a speech.

ramdev baba aur sahnaz ke aaurwedic product sari duniya pasand kr rhi hai.kyonki ye kam wqt pr perfect reasult de rhe hai.isse proove ho jata hai ki agar meditional plants ko bdava diy jaye to hamari aarthik unnati kafi tezi se bd sakti hai.tribal area ki kai gharlu aur meditional plants ke chote upyog or fayde pr reaerch kr logo me prachlit kiye jaaye.taki logo me aayurvd ke liye jhukav jyada bde.
Dear Sir
I suggest;
1. Create awareness among tribals regarding the worthiness of the products they make.
2. They should be supported by the government providing them a platform once weekly to sell n show their products.
3. No local body should be allowed to harass / take advantage of the tribals.
4. Whatever they earn should not be taxable.
