CONTINUING WITH MY LAST COMMENT, THESE DAMS WONT HAVE THE PROBLEM OF SEDIMENTATION AS WHEN THE SHUTTERS OF THE DAMS WOULD OPEN, THEY WOULD OPEN FROM THEIR VERY FOOT THAT LIES ON GROUND ALLOWING ANY SEDIMENTS SETTLED THERE TO PASS OR THE SECTION CAN EVEN BE EMPTIED TO GET THE RICH ALLUVIAL SOIL AND INCREASE THE QUALITY OF THE LAND NEARBY. AS FAR AS MARINE LIFE S CONCERNED, THERE WONT BE ANY HARM TO THEM WHEN DAMS ARE OPEN AND WHEN THE DAMS WOULD BE CLOSED, IT WONT BE PERMANENT! #smartdams
CONTINUING WITH MY LAST COMMENT, THERE IS ONE MORE FEATURE TO IT. A HUGE PIPELINE IS TO BE MADE THROUGHOUT THE COURSE OF THE RIVER WITH ONE OPENING AT EACH SECTION OF THE RIVER AND IT SHOULD BE ENDED A FEW KILOMETERS INSIDE THE SEA. THIS MAY PREVENT DROUGHT AND FLOODS THROUGH OUT THE COURSE AS WATER CAN BE DIRECTED FROM SECTION RECEIVING VERY HIGH RAINFALL TO LOWER ALTITUDES OR DIRECTLY INTO THE SEA. THESE DAMS ARE NOT ACTUALLY PERMANENT BARRIERS BUT ARE LIKE SHUTTER WINDOWS #smartdams
I HAVE AN IDEA IN WHICH SMALL DAMS UP TO THE HEIGHTS OF 5m ARE BUILT ACROSS THE WHOLE PATH OF RIVER. THIS MIGHT BE VERY SHOCKING TO HEAR BUT THESE DAMS ARE NOT PERMANENT AS SUCH BUT CAN COMPLETELY OPENED TO ALLOW THE FLOW OF WATER LIKE A NORMAL RIVER DURING HEAVY RAINS OR IN MONSOON. BUT DURING SUMMER SEASON OR BEFORE IT, THESE DAMS CAN AGAIN BE CLOSED TO FORMA SERIES OF LONG LAKES THROUGHOUT THE RIVER BASIN. #smartdams
BENEFIT TO FARMERS. HERE IN USA WE HAVE ENGINEERING DITCH AT EVERY BUSINESS TO STORE RAIN WATER. HOW THIS BENEFIT IN INDIA. HERE'S HOW, EVERYTIME THERE IS RAIN THAT WATER IS HELD IN THAT DITCH WHICH CAN BE USED LATER BY FARMERS OR IF ABSORBED IN LAND IT CAN BE USEFUL WHEN WE ARE TRYING TO DIG A WELL. IT ALSO BENEFITS LOCAL RESIDENTS IF THERE IS A WELL.
Our country is very unique. At the same time, there will flood in one place and draught in another. We should work on rain water harvesting and accumulate additional water in flood affected areas in huge underground tanks and transport them to the draught affected areas which can be used for irrigation or for other purposes.
Sirs, Why not we refeed the already empty dry ground water bed that once existed just below 20 ft to 350 ft by drilling 40ft deep 4 to 6 inches bore and feeding rain water or water from nearby rivers. No a dam can substitute this vastness of risk free, cost effective storage space for water.Every small locality have a localised bore, connec t water source to it thro' 6inches PVC pipe and give a constant supply of water into that.
Y O U CAN TAKE IT BACK WHEN YOU NEED IT
Hire top Urban Planners, Civil Engineers, and chalk a plan out to cover areas difficult to be accessed, nothing is impossible, within six months all households will have water supply, guaranteed.
