In order to design an interoperable ecosystem of data, applications and processes, there is a need to formulate a policy for the Government Organizations to provide Open Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). The “Policy on Open APIs for Government of India” has been drafted to encourage formal use of Open APIs in Government Organizations. This policy sets out the Government’s approach on the use of “Open APIs” to promote software interoperability for all e-Governance applications & systems and provide access to data & services for promoting participation of citizens and other stakeholders.

You are requested to provide your inputs on the policy and suggest implementation approach across the government.

To read the abstract of Open API Policy please refer the following URL: https://static.mygov.in/static/s3fs-public/Draft_Policy%20on%20Open%20AP...

Last date for sending your suggestions is 10th November 2014.

Often submissions posted in the creative corners remain as 'under review' and seldom get displayed in MyGov. This creates doubt regarding effectiveness of any policy.

Hello friends Its Vivek handa from Delhi ,There are lots of Issues on which I want to draw the attention of the government but my fist issue is Elimination of Contractual services in the Government and others institutions because we are also citizens of India they why our government itself exploits their citizens. I am very hopeful that Our Prime minister look after this matter.

Please make one software in which we can create one profile for every individual through which all docs like pan card, passport, adharcard, driving license etc can be made online. Any docs required for special docs can be submitted by scan copy and online payment can also be made rather than to travel different locations for different docs.

We should first get the list of applications the state and central government has. We should have a unique identification number for each citizen (may be aadhar a good start). Once we establish that then all the applications in the government as well as private players should use it to refer an transaction per citizen for eg., registration of a house or plot , credit card account creation , bank accounts or any application for that matter should have this mandated . Continued in my next post

Rather than limiting the discussions to topics initiated by govt., can we have a setup where we , the users, can start discussion topics and others can contribute? Moderators shall keep a vigil on language and content! Let this site be more interactive like other discussion forums!

Dear Sir, Lots of employees from numbers of corporate are driving four wheeler to attend office. This causes Fuel consumption for which we need to spend valuable forex, traffic issues, pollution etc. This can be avoided by instructing corporate to operate bus service for all such employees except very few for whom it is necessary. This will also help to improve togetherness among employees which will be in benefit of corporate and employees will be get time to spend with family and social work.
