In order to design an interoperable ecosystem of data, applications and processes, there is a need to formulate a policy for the Government Organizations to provide Open Application Programming Interfaces (APIs). The “Policy on Open APIs for Government of India” has been drafted to encourage formal use of Open APIs in Government Organizations. This policy sets out the Government’s approach on the use of “Open APIs” to promote software interoperability for all e-Governance applications & systems and provide access to data & services for promoting participation of citizens and other stakeholders.

You are requested to provide your inputs on the policy and suggest implementation approach across the government.

Sir , recently your ministry start a programme that say to opt.out of subsidy and gas companies also display their name who opt.out subsidy on their scroll of honour. my question is that what about those people who opt.out subsidy by mistake and can't afford it please add a button "undo opt. out subsidy" or a time period of undo opt out subsidy which is very helpful for poor peoples thanks a lot

NASCOM and other IT bodies needs to be given single goal. How to bring an open source Operating System & a office suit(XL/PPT) quickly across all govt organizations and educational institutions. It will save min 2 Billion rupees to country and will have long term strategic impact on the economy. We largely depend on Microsoft products which we should slowly eliminate. NASSCOM always ask what industry need, govt could ask this goal from them.

The idea of APi is fantastic as it will automatically reduce the corruption considerably,also will reduce TAT of all the services rendered under the API, Wish the government all the best.

हर एक इन्सान का अपना ID होणा चाहिये और उसीके साथ महाराष्ट्र सरकार का भी Login ID होणा जरुरी है अगर ऐसा होता है तभी भारत सरकार को पता चल सकता है कि राज्य सरकार कौनसी सेवा प्रधान करती है और सरकार को क्या करणा जरुरी है Data Collection सही तरीकेसे होणा जरुरी है....

सबसे पहले Data Information Collection का Concept Clear होणा चाहिये मुझे लागता है अगर मै महाराष्ट्र में राह्नेवाला हुं तो मुझे सरकारी सेवा कोनसी मिळती है और कोनसी नहि उसके लिये हमारी सरकार या भारत सरकार काम करती है, यह बहोत Easy है Data Collection में पुरी जानकारी मतलब All Essential Fields are Mandatory रहना चाहिये उसके साथ सभी भारतीयोंको उनका Profile बनाकर उनके सभी Original Document Upload करणे कि सुविधा उपलब्ध करणी जरुरी है उससे होनेवाला भ्रष्टाचार नष्ट होगा और सुविधा उपलब्ध होगी

Hello Yes, it's good if Govt. Providing API interface. With API, Approach should be open interface for certain information and some api call should be restricted based on the security parameters, API should create each department easy inter connectivity. Open Interface also help to get certain public information to use with api, and based on that many supportive apps and software can be created. It's should have holistic approach 360 degree while creation of API Regards

Last year Uttarakhand, Today Kashmir. Any weather, Any place, Any war - man or nature , Any time : The Indian Army is always ready. Why dont we invite them during happy times.. dear all avoid inviting hero or heroins during opening ceremonies or award functions. Instead invite Indian Army.... They deserve more than anybody ...share if u feel its worth.

Entire gov offices (Central & State) must have computer link. If any file pending after scheduled time the concerned officer's computer to pop up and remind the officer or Minister. All the subsidy must be paid through banks. Facilities required Taxes like home, land all are to be paid in online.
