Help us make Digital Locker better by providing your valuable feedback, comments and suggestions.

Digital Locker is a key initiative under Digital India program. It is an online application that aims at eliminating the use of physical documents and enables sharing of verified electronic documents across various agencies. Digital Locker provides a dedicated personal storage space in the cloud to citizens, linked to citizen’s Aadhaar number. It will enable various organizations registered on Digital Locker to push certificates of citizens directly in their Digital Locker in electronic format. Citizens can also upload and securely store the scanned copies of legacy documents in Digital Locker. These legacy documents can be electronically signed using eSign facility. A citizen can share these electronic certificates online with various departments and agencies registered on Digital Locker while applying for the services provided by them. Thus, Digital Locker brings the citizens, issuers and requestors on one platform and reduces administrative overhead of agencies by eliminating paperwork. It will also make it easy for the residents to receive services by saving time and effort.

We need to start the practices to use the digital locker and make awareness for the people to use this. We may plan to put advertisement in TV for this. TV is the best medium for us to send our this initiative. Second thing - start common practices in Banks, Private bodies to applicable digital locker.

Digitization is good if used in positive terms. But if in case it hacked by people it will be very dangerous for us because all the important document like TAX, ID CARD , and many other verification details will be opened and can be use for blackmail someone. So be care-full to launch and use this.

#DigitalIndia, To start with this facility can be used for keeping government related documents (like passport), educational documents (like 10th & 12th certificates). It can be followed up with maintaining various other docs related to the citizen like employment status, tax related documents, Investments etc or simple things like electricity bills, water bills etc. Soon it can be an integral part of our IT ecosystem (IoT). But Security and Authenticity must first be well established.

Please make sure all gov. and non-gov. firms use locker for this purpose starting from education institutes this will help set trend of digital documentation.

I wanted to access the digital vault. I realised that my email address and phone number details are not registered through the Aadhaar registration process. I remember providing all details during the enrollment. I think all people have this problem. Can there be alternative way to register worth aadhaar number and get first time authentication with birth date and mother name?

Dear sir.. Digital locker ko itna private hona chahiye ki use user ki permission ke bina koi access nhi kr ske....or ha sir esme ...only government register website ko permission honi chahiye access ki vo bhi user ki permission se...esme user jo document send krna chahta hai vo hi document send ho baki ke document safe ho taki unhe koi nhi check mr ske...

Dear Sir, Digital Locker need Adhar card for enrolment but what about us who lives in Assam where no Adhar card process has been initiated till now. No body in this state have Adhar card. In this case we are also deprived of the digital locker facilities. Kindly ensure that we can also available the digital locker services. Regards Rajesh Chauhan

Digital lockers should be on every web site I mean to say that digital locker can be allotted to customers like banks give facility to have digital locker where we can save our bank papers The department of registry to save our property papers The companies for keeping share papers safe They can be charged or as a facility to the customers

The concept of digital lock is very important. It can preserve the important documents digitally and it can used from any where by using the password at any time. It is necessary to advertise and campain in mass. further, it is also necessary to persue the people about the facilities and important of this system. Most of the people don't know any thing about digital lock as well as its use. so, the appropriate publicity should be made to increase the use of digital lock system.
