Help us make Digital Locker better by providing your valuable feedback, comments and suggestions.

Digital Locker is a key initiative under Digital India program. It is an online application that aims at eliminating the use of physical documents and enables sharing of verified electronic documents across various agencies. Digital Locker provides a dedicated personal storage space in the cloud to citizens, linked to citizen’s Aadhaar number. It will enable various organizations registered on Digital Locker to push certificates of citizens directly in their Digital Locker in electronic format. Citizens can also upload and securely store the scanned copies of legacy documents in Digital Locker. These legacy documents can be electronically signed using eSign facility. A citizen can share these electronic certificates online with various departments and agencies registered on Digital Locker while applying for the services provided by them. Thus, Digital Locker brings the citizens, issuers and requestors on one platform and reduces administrative overhead of agencies by eliminating paperwork. It will also make it easy for the residents to receive services by saving time and effort.

A digital drawer is a great concept. Going paperless will help the Go Green movement. This concept has to encompass very focused and key activities to keep the information in a digital format. A simple start would be to identify what are the key documents that a citizen need to provide to government for processing and getting a response. This needs to be augmented with proper security on authenticating the right people and the person who needs to do the digital correspondence.

Sir,digilocker is one of the great move and through this we can upload our all necessary certificates here which can be connected with our mobile no and email id so also we can give one certain digilocker id which can be used in all exams form filling process as another firms also like passport etc and one column should be given in those farms in which we can fill digilocker id and concern department directly collect all original certificate scan copy from digilocker

Digital Signature should be linked to Aadhar Number and should be given to every citizen of India free of cost. This will mitigate the problem of fake signatures and fraudulently signed documents ultimately leading to a reduction in filing of court cases.

Every Bank, Educational Institutions whether Private or Public, Employers, all Government Organizations, etc. wherever Birth, education or any type of ID and Address proof is required to be submitted, they all should be made to register compulsorily with the Digital Locker authority for smooth and enviornment friendly way of submitting / receiving the required documents.

Aadhaar card should not be the the only base of registration. It cannot be made compulsory and the honorable supreme court of India has also clarified this. No citizen can be deprived from any government scheme/benefit just because he/she does not have an aadhaar card. An alternative should be available. e.g. Passport, election card, driving licence, ration card, etc. Aadhaar cards have not yet reached many talukas of India. e.g. Jafarabad taluka of Amreli district of Gujarat. #DigitalLocker

have a Aadhaar But No mobile linking . So it is dificult for registration.Aadhar centres are crowded . Demands more money .

Nowadays, there is a racket of fake certificates.To curb this, digital locker can be of great help.Eg. recognised education boards/univs can directly send the certificates and marksheets to digital locker of respective pupil.To enable this the students can furnish their digital account no. to university/board while filling of exam form.Similarly,to curb duplicate licences the concerned authority should send the licence to the digital locker.This will also help avoid postal delay and dependence.

Make it simple: 1. How about the documents which are delivered by Govt. agencies is automatically uploaded to respective Adhaar Card linked digital lockers - by default. This will reduce the headache of "scanning and uploading of thousands of documents" by people. 2. Individuals may still have an option to update any revisions or changes.
