The Indian Nanoelectronics Users Program (INUP), hosted at IIT Bombay and IISc Bangalore, with financial support from the Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), strives to address many of these challenges. Through INUP, Ph.D. students and faculty innovators from any university or institution in India recognized by MHRD can access these nanofabrication facilities which house more than 150 sophisticated instruments for fabrication and characterization of nanoelectronic devices. The students also receive mentorship from experts – both faculty and other senior students – about their research projects and prototype development. INUP also conducts workshops to provide information and “hands-on” sessions to explain use of equipment.

If you are a Ph.D. student anywhere in India who wishes to try out an innovative idea in the area of nanoelectronics, you can send a proposal to INUP (http://www.inup.iitb.ac.in and http://www.nano.iisc.ernet.in/inup/). INUP provides the funding, help, mentorship and facilities, but the IP of your idea belongs to you.

Nano-electronic facilities in IISc and IIT Bombay would boost involvement in the nanotechnology industry. I'd like to suggest that these facilities be open for Under Graduate and Post Graduate students all the same. Exposure to such state of the art facilities would drive interest among many more who haven't yet considered nanotechnology as an option.A sort of job shadowing/process shadowing program could be initiated for students who have opted for nano-tech courses across universities.

Our indian postal department is suffering very badly in very recent times and stringent steps to be taken to strengthen our india post. A law/amendment should passed that any private courier which is already running/going to start shall does not work independently, it sould work only as extension service of india post. All indian post office shall be tuned to 24/7 and required staffs to be recruited to strengthen postal department. This also an important scheme in clean india.

I have heard of Nano research facility only in IISc. Good to hear that IIT-B also involved in it.

1.Awareness is very much required on this program among students at Higher secondary, college level(UG & PG) so that interested, progressive candidates can avail.

2.GoI can ask various research institutions/labs especially those under ICMR,ICAR to tie up with & can encourage those scientists to do Ph.D in the emerging field of nanotubes in medicines.

Our own Cutting Edge Research.

Dear sir
Cutting edge research in India.
To do this
at least in IIT and IISC
for specific branches
incentives to Mtech and Phd students should be increased to 30000 and 45000 respectively.
This would be beneficial as the scenario is
1. Management jobs are paying high.
2. Psu jobs seem to be more lucrative.
3. MS at foreign universities become more lucrative.
4. Students leave Mtech in between as they get job.
Thanks & Regards
Your admirer

'Innovate in India' should be in the pedestal as 'Make in India'. These two policies are more than enough to catapult India into the league of technologically advanced nations

In India many do not know what is nano technology, so the government should create an awareness about this research course and should make popularise this course and make this course useful for the future pillars of India.

Following suggestions can be useful.
1. Provide research budget allocations on new ideas to 50% or more.
2. Have lecture or information section at Each university per year for talent hunt in neon technology.
3. Create DRDO/IISC scientist group for any new research project approval which can identify future project requirement
4. Niti Aayog to create 10 year plan and 25 year plan and allocate funds as per future planning based research project.
4.

Research Facilities should be open to all. Online booking can be made. Enough technical staff may be hired/trained so as to run the facility on 24x7 basis. Nominal fee can be charged for maintenance.
