A huge amount of Govt. money is spent on subsidy of petroleum products. The Govt. had to spend Rs. 1,39,869 crore on account of subsidy on petroleum products in the year 2013-14. As, the indigenous availability of crude Oil and LPG is limited, these are imported in huge quantities to fulfill the demand of the country.  As Govt. provides domestic LPG and PDS Kerosene on subsidised price, this results in huge subsidy burden on Govt. Due to presence of dual pricing(subsidized and non-subsidized) in LPG and SKO, there is a diversion of subsidized LPG and Kerosene into commercial usage. Although Govt. has taken several initiatives to reduce this diversion of subsidized LPG and PDS Kerosene, public participation is solicited to suggest ways for reducing diversion in LPG and PDS Kerosene.

You are invited to suggest ideas to reduce diversion and the subsidy burden on account of LPG and Kerosene.

Use other renewable resources like biogas. Better technologies have evolved all over the world to provide efficient production. this can significantly reduce the pressure on #LPG and #Kerosene. Thus helping to save a lot of money on subsidies.

The process of linking the bank account number of the customer is a good practice initiated by the government which can reduce the diversion of subsidized LPG and PDS Kerosene into the commercial sector. But the bitter truth is that people will find loopholes in this process too. An effective method in this case is to make a checking team of HONEST people which will check different commercial places without a prior notice and heavily fine the guilty and publish their names in the media.

If the LPG Consumer is out of station for more than 3 (or) 6 months, option may be provided in the website of particular LPG Distributor to mention the same by indicating their Consumer Number, Distributor etc. so that the particular Distributor will not use the cylinder for other purposes. From the bank account numbers available for DBTL, obtain the PAN from the bankers and depending on the income of LPG may be continued or stopped.

Any effort towards direct subsidy transfer will be futile if existing PDS is used. Kerosene can be sold at petrol pumps at market rates and subsidy transferred to beneficiary with a clear upper limit. This will ensure availability 24x7, will give choice of outlet to customer and will also make quality assurance easier. the bill generated by machine can be good enough for eligibility. Anyone having LPG or PNG connection should be debarred from availing cheap kerosene. They can buy at market price

DBTL has reduced the scope of leakage of subsidy. Thousands of fake LPG connections have been surrendered. However, the consumers are still held hostage by the distributors. Underweight cylinders, forcing to buy stove with new connection, refusal or delay in home delivery and misbehaviour are still rampant. The next logical step towards consumer welfare should be the entry of private companies in LPG. Their conections can be connected with JAM for subsidy. This will change the landscape

An inspection team is required to check the LPG Cylinders & Kerosene & with that there is a need to develop a chip in Cylinders by which cylinders can automatically track.

Ans; when a person going to purchase a solar panel, he think for 1000w he has to pay 1.8 lac ,and he is ok with it bcoz the person who spend 2lac for protecting his roof doesn't mind it. But the problem start when he know that it will get subsidy of rs.80k . by knowing this he will go to the ANERT office there he has to done lot of paper works and wait for long time ..! This is the major issue what people facing. Thats why i am saying .even if you stop subsidy that will increase this bisns.

Ans; when a person going to purchase a solar panel,

1.every house spends 50 to 60% of electricity for geyser. This has to be changed to solar water heater. Promote solar panels or give induction stove freely - the released energy consumption from geyser to Induction stove. Electricity once produced cannot be saved. Plan for 100% utilization of power using induction stove. LPG can be completely removed with Induction stove. One trillion dollar as foreign exchange can be saved.
