A huge amount of Govt. money is spent on subsidy of petroleum products. The Govt. had to spend Rs. 1,39,869 crore on account of subsidy on petroleum products in the year 2013-14. ...
Dear PM/PMO,
I have following suggestion regarding reducing domestic LPG subsidy.
Just like we have an option of not availing the LPG subsidy, we should also have an option of availing a part of the subsidy i.e. (10%, 20%..80%, 90% etc). This will encourage those people to not avail a part of the subsidy, who are not able to leave full subsidy.
Thanks & Regards
Vipul
In my kind submission & gas subsidy as PM ASKED .lets the choice of people be included as max 12 how many no,can let go from my quoto to the needy.also crediting of subsidy getting delayed to a/c making common man to not trust the govt,it's schemes ,might be there could be technical glitch in transferring ,but since of impression of govt anti people prove erstwhile, I urge & request to digitalise the auto credit with necessary protection like gas bill scanned delivered to ensure credit to a/c
There is ask us to forgo subsidiary benefit voluntarily on LPG with higher income group. Though this seems to be a reasonable request, I would like to bring some though on this – we never asked / demanded to give subsidiary – as policy, government is providing the benefit and we are using it. Like Ration cards, make it mandatory to only for eligible populations – we will comply. However, when there is change in international prices on LPG, reduction of prices never happen immediately (will ta
Kerosene is rampantly being diverted which needs to be curbed effectively .
Suggestions regarding #GiveItUp campaign.
Govt is asking to give up the subsidy in national interest. Few thoughts 1) To start with who had asked for subsidy. Its govt which has given the subisidy to all.2) Like Ration Cards why doesn't govt stop giving subsidy to all and restrict it to only BPL. 3) If we call this subsidy as perks and If govt wants us to give up then can govt ministers, MPs, MLAs and politicians give up all the perks they get (from free air & train travel to lot many things). Please Walk the Talk First.
Austerity should start from top so as it could go down well.MP and MLA get tax free handsome salary and other perks in spite of they avail these kind of benefit including subsidized canteen.
As of now only LPG subsidy leakage has been addressed that too not 100%. Still lot of people do not have access to aadhar. What about kerosene? Misuse of kerosene is much much more compared to LPG. Please take up this issue quickly. Govt can save a lot of money from this.
For people who want to give up LPG subsidy, please also exempt that "given up amount" from taxation. Assuming most "well-off" people would be at least in the 20% tax bracket - the government is asking them to give up an annual subsidy of Rs 4000 (approx) but then it will charge them an additional - approx Rs. 800 (20%) or Rs. 1200 (30%) by the route of taxes. And God-forbid, if tomorrow this "well off" person is not so well off - make sure they are not harassed by babus to get a subsidy back.
Sir,the idea of voluntarily giving up the LPG subsidy by the well off is a good thought. However I personally feel that this idea has to go more deep into people through advertisements and other social media. As of now only very few ministers have taken the responsibility of spreading this. Also,if there is a mechanism of "Thanking and Encouraging"those who have surrendered the benefit through a broadcast letter signed by the PM,it would motivate the citizens to do lot more.!#LPGvoluntarysurrender
