Water should be stored locally. In every village their should be a huge pond, it should be in a size through out the year it should provide water for agriculture. Yes we have reservoir but transporting it into 100's of kilometres is a issue, the best way to avoid this is water should be stored locally. In many cities the lack of ground Water is big issue because there is no land to sink water in to ground all land filled up with buildings, so in every colony their should be government land to sink water in to ground. In Japan we can see a underground Tank which expand to kilometres. I am not saying to build this type of Tanks ,it costs. But let allow the water to sink in to ground which is a natural Tank. Storage of water Locally is cheap and best way for water needs of people everywhere. We have rain's but lack storage.

Pollution control boards should be more strict in implementing rules and regulations. Local Bodies are putting their wastes into rivers and lakes.

we have a tradition of throwing religious waste in rivers , we cannot snatch religious rights from people but govt can provide incenrators on river banks that would only process religious wastes .. in that way sentiments would be taken care of and river will not get polluted

with increase in the rate of development we are making soil in the watershed less permeable which means small amount of water is able to seep in the ground during rainfall and a large runoff is generated this results in flash floods and also droughts (since there is no base flow created) .

water bodies near villages should be conserved by Panchayat committees as there are not too many houses construction can be checked by panchayat committees to make sure all the rain water run into these ponds also green cover near every such pond should be made mandatory a security guard can be engaged by panchayat to make sure no one is littering the pond .currently construction of new houses in villages has stopped the recharge of pond water

Rejuvenation of Rural Ponds, connected to storm water drain with tapping to pass surplus rain water to recharge bore-well, added with Cattle Park & a Dairy may give boost to sustainable Village economy. Dovetailed with solar pumping from ground water during dry season the pond may be perennial & the cattle park & milk schemes a regular source of village economy. It is also a safeguard against drought as well as flooding.Hon. MPs kindly opt for this work in villages.
