All railway stations must be powered by solar panels .Attach mini generator turbine to all wheels of engines and coaches and wagons . Energy generated must be saved in batteries and used . It will save expense of fuelling

Railway should try to make its coaches more energy efficient by creating a program for replacement of ordinary tube lights with LED lights.
railway should make a scientific attempt to identify the bottlenecks routes, where trains are getting delayed. this can be done by statistical analysis of train running status data generated daily. This can be made in collaboration with Statistics Departments of various universities. Correcting bottlenecks at the railroad tracks will reduce the running costs of train such as electricity consumption in coaches for extra hours, overtime payments for railway staff deployed on the running train.
Start giving trains to MNC's and name them by that Company name like a train goes to kolkata owned by Vodafone should named by vodafone express, and ask a huge amount from that company and also give them independence to get modern trains from any country and run for their name, but all staff should be of indian railways but kitchen should be given to that company to run, it can change whole some indian railways
Between Indore to Bhopal,a large number of buses running between them as evident from attached PDF,(75 buses). even more buses are running which are offering only offline tickets and there were not evident in this PDF. similarly a large number of taxis are running between these two cities.
all this traffic can get shifted to railway, only requirement being reasonable fare, correct timing and Timely arrival to destination.Failure of AC double decker was merely due to excess fare and odd timing
Start naming the trains against various MNC's like train kalka male named by vodafone mail, and ask a huge amount from interested company,Allow more advertisments for various companies, like Vodafone, airtell, hero, etc Make stalls for public lending like dominos,, food stall, give all home like facilities on plateform for some charge
I am not a mechanical engineer but I believe we can build lighter trains . These trains carry only humans so they need not be built on heavy metal and this sector requires a lot of innovation . Let us provide this task to the NIT's and IIT's where we have the brightest minds of our nation. Why not we use it ? . Let us bring in competition to innovate .
Let technology drive the company . Please start using the innovative minds
In order to sustain the interest of the people in providing feed back, appreciate suggestions. Give some feedback to select one's, inform them whether their feed backs have been put to some use. Award them if they have been put to some use. If there is no feedback whatsoever, this interest cannot be kept up.
Make use of stack-able chairs within the compartment for creating additional space on demand.
