Although Indian Railways enjoy the highest captive eyeballs in a railway system internationally, it earns less than 5% of its revenues through non-tariff sources. Many of the world ...
Train ko badaya jaye train ma sleeper coach jyada hone chiye
Route wise far can be different I.e. ahmedabad- Mumbai route.
Industrial golden corridor far are different than normal route to increase revenue.
Advertising on our side & insight CTS coach can Help to increase revenue.
Railway must start to run double dikkat trains
some trains will modify to doubled like Double Dukker train Bengaluru to Chennai for increase space, time and save fuel
I think 5% revenue is not just fine for any service sector. My opinion is the revenue should increase upto 15%. So government would get more opportunities to develop railways infrastructure. Also need proper survey before announcing new trains. I travel a lot through train and air, from my experience I have seen lots of trains are running with less travelers.
Some of the railway stations can be upgraded to multi-storeyed buildings. People waiting for train can do shopping or can go for food shops there. Multiplex, Shopping, Food, Gaming Zone etc all at one place.
1. cinema halls in railway stations of cities
2. supermarkets selling local food clothing and handicrafts
3.more number of pay and use refreasing rooms
Increase in the fare is not the solution for revenue generation Railway should starts advertisement in the area and also for less then 300 km cc should be introduced in most of the trains.Intercity trains for short distances should be introduced for sorting out the huge rush in long distances mail & express train
test
Trains can have tv screens and ads can generate income.
Bogeys outside can be painted with advertisements of limited size.
