The India Newborn Action Plan (INAP) was launched by Hon’ble Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Harsh Vardhan on 18th September, 2014 in New Delhi. It outlines a targeted strategy for accelerating the reduction of preventable newborn deaths and stillbirths in the country. INAP defines the latest evidence on effective interventions which will not only help in reducing the burden of stillbirths and neonatal mortality, but also maternal deaths. With clearly marked timelines for implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and scaling-up of proposed interventions, it is expected that all stakeholders working towards improving newborn health in India will stridently work towards attainment of the goals of “Single Digit NMR by 2030” and “Single Digit SBR by 2030.”The INAP will be implemented within the existing RMNCH+A framework, and guided by the principles of Integration, Equity, Gender, Quality of Care, Convergence, Accountability, and Partnerships. Its strength is built on its six pillars of intervention packages, impacting stillbirths and newborn health. For effective implementation, a systematic plan for monitoring and evaluation has been developed with a list of dashboard indicators.

She is raising more funds towards this cause to reach out to more villages. However my request is that this can be made a national movement so women are aware of healthy means and use the inexpensive methods but healthy ways and thus also educate them on other aspects of women health so the children of India are born healthy. Instead spending more money on child diseases, the best method is to take of the poor women and educate and give them everything needed to get the healthy children.

Dear Modi ji, Namaste.

Women's health in rural India needs attention because it also means healthy children in future.
Women needs awareness and the products in using the right sanitary products during their cycle every month. Lots of women are using very unhygienic methods that causes many issues later. We know Mr. Annamalai Muraganathan has done an amazing invention for the need of these women. Please check out more details on it here : http://newinventions.in/

Honorable Prime Minister Sir, I am an Associate Professor in King Georges Medical University, Lucknow. Our team had been concerned about biomedical waste management in the University for quite some time. We have established a sustainable and unique waste management strategy effectively. The video link is being attached for your perusal. We would like to see it implemented in other hospitals in the country with waste tracking and capability to handle data from all over India
With regards Anupam
