The only way to improve the Post office to Make it digital and use of IT as much as we can, to track the speed post status and other consignment we need to give the global exposure to our post office to cater outside India in other countries as most of the market has been captured by Private sectors in this area.

-> P.M.O. -> F.D.A. -> Solution के साथ Family को।

Recently RBI has come with guideline for "Payment Bank". I think rather than setting up payment bank, govt should involve post offices in this prospects. Payment and remittance can be done in PO. Trained employees of PO as banking correspondent(BC), so that can sell financial product at door step, because postman can reach each house of their nearby location.

To run the Post Office Network more successful, the Officials should be very Customer Friendly. The system should be more technically upgarded with the new trends. The concerned Officials should work with a targets. They should collect the documents and parcels from the places of the Customers as the private player are doing.Customer complaints should be address within 24 hours. Termination of the services and actions should be implemented if any misappropriations/non delivery happened. Jai Hind

First and foremost is to improve the IT infrastructure of post office and infuse younger generation into the sector, give it a corporate look with people and technology. Like KVP reintroduced but one cannot purchase it online for the time being. Post office website should give access to send Letter through one's digital post office account. For eg. Inland Letter, Post Card etc. One should be in a position to type a letter remotely and it should be printed at central post office & ready to post.

1) Computerisation of all post offices in India.
2) Online tracking system for all mails and parcels (I am not receiving rakhi sent by my sister since last 3 years + insurance receipts, god know where they are going)
3) Speedy delivery, there should be SLA for each type of delivery and promotions/appraisals of staff should be linked to SLA (this is what we have in private industry)
4) Staff & premise should be user friendly. So a lesson on customer service for staff and upliftment of post offices with modern & customer friendly services eg, kioask for purchasing stamps, envelops etc
5) To increase revenue, tie up with banks, insurance companies, eRetailing companies etc
