Earn rental income from cell-phone tower installations in the post-office premises. The towers will be generally located in a safe environment and can rely on ready standby power available from the post office power supply network.

Post Offices can be a very effective outlet for distribution at a retail level. For example, sell pre paid vouchers for BSNL mobile service, DTH recharge, etc. Further, post office can earn revenues by some sort of partnership which companies on whose behalf they register the order for their goods / services, pass on the information to these companies and the companies through their distribution network take care of the last mile delivery of the goods / services.

E-mail to physical mail (paper) business model. With the advent of technology people have started using telecommunication systems and reliance on physical mail has reduced. However, there are certain circumstances where it is preferred by people to send physical mail. For example, notices, invites, or newsletters. The post office should start a web portal that can take electronic content from a customer and send a physical version to the recipient. Attached is an image describing this model.

Sub : PM's austerities measures
We are happy that certain austerity measures are being taken by the honorable Prime minister. One of then is to avoid holding of conferences and seminars at outstations involving avoidable expenditure. It is learnt that the Tamilnadu Postal circle is arranging a conference of its officers to be held near Coimbatore, away from the state HQ. The purpose can be well served by telephone & e-mail communications.Intervention for cancellation is solicited.Thank your honour
