For delivering various Citizen centric services and furthering the reach of Financial Services including Insurance, the Government of India has set up a Task Force to examine and recommend efficient utilisation and upgradation of the Post Office Network, enabled with Digital/Internet Connectivity to rural Offices and outpost areas enabling reach of different services in rural areas. This Network is also being viewed as a distribution channel to retail various schemes and services of Central Government, State Government and Private Sector Players.

Through this discussion the Department of Posts (Ministry of Communications & Information Technology) seeks suggestions on the following:

•    To provide efficient postal network and points of presence [particularly in rural areas and small towns] to Central Government Ministries / Departments, State Governments [including Local Self Government] and private sector players for delivering various citizen-centric services, scheme, products to the people.
•    To further the role of Post Offices in Financial inclusion, including Insurance products
•    The infrastructure requirements of the Post Offices and the Postal Network
•    To make the Post Offices financially viable

Last date for sending your suggestions is 30th November, 2014.

PM Sir. India must provide a properly organized, well structured, govt. funded, ambulance service for emergency evacuation, patient transport and hearse services. Ambulances be stationed at ward/block level. It shall be administratively independent. It must have health volunteer as emergency care providers to provide social ownership. The service be reasonably priced to the extent of being subsidized and be free for BPL persons. It will make India a healthier place to live in.

Post office Network can be used a helping hand to all dept. of Govt. from where every thing can be done like online Money transfer, bill etc. helping hands to bank, all type of forms and one major Point make Post office as a "transporter" too means if i wanna purchase 500 kg of X item just go in Post office provide details n charges then post office will do rest and it can be combine process of Post Office, Indian Airlines, Indian railways etc. It shows just go to post office and they do d rest

1.start fast postal courier services-national and outbound 2.have more field executives staffs which can deliver various services: 1.insurance 2. bill payment :electricity ,telephone 3.banking services 4.online marketing networks similar like snapdeal flipkart 5.mobile services

I am working with a company which provided Microsoft based solution on ERP. Today with the use of mobile POS with payment gateway made available to a Post Man & a whole new avenue can be made available for the Nation Building process. Study can be aligned with requirement & I strongly believe that the personal touch of the postman to the last mile can be used to communicate the nation building process every person very easily

Focus more on its main task which is Mail and Parcel Delivery. Indian Post should also invest into the transportation business in cooperation with Indian Railway. In future with Digital India consumers are going to buy more product online and that is going to need reliable postal/parcel service which can be fulfilled by Indian Post.

4. Payment of Govt Schemes through Post Office Network - Scheme such as Manrega/ Old Age Pensions / Disability Benefits etc through Biometric Card System.

In order to make Post Office more financially viable they should be promoted on following parameters. 1. Being Appointed as Business Correspondents for the Banks to do the business.Where can can use them for various services such as , Collections / Payments for the Bank's Customers , Micro Finance Loans Disbursement Agency 2. Popularize and Design Attractive Scheme for the Domestic Money Transfer for the Migrant Workers. 3. Allow to create the Internet Wallet for the public for commission.

Post Man Channel can be effectively used to build qualitative data about each resident of the country, further govt can design a multipurpose form which requires details about resident by various ministries and post man can collect that data and share the information and database can be build up.
