For delivering various Citizen centric services and furthering the reach of Financial Services including Insurance, the Government of India has set up a Task Force to examine and recommend efficient utilisation and upgradation of the Post Office Network, enabled with Digital/Internet Connectivity to rural Offices and outpost areas enabling reach of different services in rural areas. It is quite obvious that Banks supersede the INDIA Post in their speed of operations and innovation. This is only because Banks have lesser number of branches, whereas the Post Offices have a large number of units like Head, Sub and Branch Post offices. As such, it is really a Herculean task to integrate all the above stated sub units through Wide Area Network.

I have a dream wish...The INDIA Post must be partially privatised, incorporating more scientific innovations and strategies. New technically qualified professionals like B.E., B.Tech., M.B.A., M.C.A., must be recruited into India Post, for resurrecting and restructuring the outdated Department. Changes must happen, since it is inevitable. Calculated risks must be taken by the INDIA Post for further development.

Since the date of effect of Seventh Pay Panel is slated to be with effect from First January 2016 ( this is the position of the Government), Manu Central Government employees will be left out to be covered by the benefits of the Seventh Pay Panel. This is miserable indeed. Atleast, the date of effect may kindly be ante dated to First of January 2015 ( OR ) the First of July 2015. This will certainly serve as a great relief to all the Central Government employees.

Since the Wage Revision for all Central Government employees is a very complex and circumlocutory process, it buys too much time to submit its Final Report. The implementation will take more time than expected, it seems from media reports. This indirectly implies that many more Central Government employees will not get proper access to the financial benefits of the forthcoming Seventh Pay Panel, for various reasons likeVRS and superannuation.

Government shouldn’t privatize the service depts. Like postal and banking, communication. These are the major dept for public relationship. Even though still now people are believing only postal service to send their important documents why should not more focus on to develop postal. Thousands of crores are lying in Postal dept as dead asset ,if Govt give loan for their employees with minimum interest the money flow will be there and govt make profit as well as safety for the money also.

Why Govt should not collect the PLI installment online and it should work as online banking facilities. it will reduce the work pressure on counters of post office.Online handling of open and maintain PPF/PLI/Insurance so that chances of fraud will be less.Saving of paper/less crowd pressure on counters/hassle free services.

Post Office can act as Front Office to deliver services like bank & insurance products, collecting the loan instalments, accepting bank deposits by acting as correspondents of banks & insurance companies. Post offices are places familiar and well connected to the common man. By acting as correspondent of banks and insurance companies, lot of revenue can be generated by postal department and revenue saved for banks and insurance companies as they can minimise expenditure of opening branches.
