In order to make the Indian IT Industry move up the value chain and thereby sustain its growth trajectory, India has to adopt a paradigm shift in it’s strategy for software sector by focusing to create vibrant Indian Software Product Industry, where IT Products also contribute equitably and significantly along with IT Services. Though India is well positioned to further grow in services sector, however for holistic growth, there is a need for a National Policy on Software Products that can synergise the efforts of the Government and Industry to create a robust Software Product Industry, which enables the germinating ground for large number of Software product startups, promotes development of an ecosystem encouraging R&D and innovation, opens up multitude of opportunities of access to capital and helps build and improve the domestic demand. A National Policy on Software Products aligning with other initiatives such as Start-up India, Make in India and Digital India etc. can provide the springboard for India to emerge as a global leader in this important industry.

To drive the rise of India as a Software Product Nation and synergy with the ITeS sector, so as to place India as a leading player as creator, producer and supplier of innovative Software Products globally thereby enabling the IT Industry to sustain growth momentum, a Draft Policy is under consideration by this Ministry.

Ministry seeks suggestions and feedback from the public and other stakeholders on the draft before forming the policy.

The last date for sharing your inputs on the Draft National Policy on Software Products is December 9, 2016.

V. Matram Modi Ji,

Derogatory statements against the Army, by constitutional functionaries, is unacceptable & cannot be taken lying down. Such personalities must be punished, & all custodians including HE Hon'ble President of India, who is also the Supreme Commander of Armed forces, have to rise to the occasion, protect the prestige of Armed forces.
In 24 days of demonetization about 14000 crores of B. Money has been illegally laundered by Builders-transporters-filling station owners' nexus.

My suggestion is govt takes the initiative to built a modern electronic system where we develop the hardware and software good and all the electronic things like a smartphone and a computer and a team of qualified authorised haker who watch the condition on large scale by doing this we increase the safety and security for our banking and other digital data
And govt earn more by selling this to the other countries.

My suggestion , in order to force public to do less cash transactions , Government should apply 2% Tax on all cash withdrawal and all digital transactions must be made free of charge. There is hardly any cost involved for digital transactions while to deal in cash has to be expensive.
